Teórica

La realización de este estudio aportará conocimiento teórico al campo de las EAI

con respecto a la capacidad predictiva de las EAI sobre los problemas de salud mental que

se desarrollan a lo largo de la vida (Cronholm et al., 2015; Finkelhor et al., 2013; Mersky,

Janczewski y Topitzes, 2017; Ports et al., 2019), además de promover la comprensión del

rol que tienen las EAI deterioro en la salud mental de mujeres víctimas de violencia de

pareja (Zancán y Habigzang, 2018; Galego Carrillo et al., 2016) y el rol que juega la

regulación emocional a la hora de evitar la aparición de sintomatología en a vida adulta

(agregar citas de regulación emocional).

Práctica

La evidencia empírica que se obtenga a partir del estudio permitirá mejorar las

estrategias de prevención e intervención dirigidas a (partir de los hallazgos en mujeres

víctimas de violencia) proporcionar condiciones positivas y de apoyo para el desarrollo de

la infancia temprana, mediante la evaluación y el posterior desarrollo de programas que

busquen atender los principales efectos de las EAI, en vez de abordar más tarde

consecuencias que han alcanzado mayor nivel de cronicidad (Ports et al., 2016; 2019).

Hacer la corrección de acuerdo a la explicación. La intervención clínica (tipo de

variable - regulación emocional; y qué población se trabajaría - mujeres víctimas de

violencia).

Social

El beneficio social de esta investigación radica en generar procesos de intervención

enfocados en superar la adversidad que se vive en los primeros 18 años de vida, así como

promover el desarrollo políticas y programas que apoyen a familias y comunidades con

mayor riesgo de experimentar adversidades. Asimismo, dar a conocer los hallazgos del
estudio permitiría desarrollar políticas públicas dirigidas hacia el cuidado, la educación

temprana de las familias y la salud mental infantil y del adulto, para promover ambientes

seguros y relaciones positivas y estables entre las familias (Davis et al., 2020). (políticas

públicas, nivel educativo, instituciones que atienden violencia hacia la mujer o violencia de

pareja).

Metodológica

Este estudio aportará una medición más específica de las EAI en México, dado que en la mayoría de

países se han utilizado las preguntas tipo checklist del estudio original para adaptarlas a las

necesidades de cada población, siendo esta una de las críticas más frecuentes a su medición

(Ports et al., 2020). Aunque existen iniciativas para el desarrollo de una herramienta que

evalúe la prevalencia de estas experiencias en esta y otras poblaciones (Proyecto ACES,

2021), no se ha puesto en marcha ninguna estrategia hasta el momento, lo que impide

detectar, prevenir y atender los efectos de las EAI en la salud a lo largo de la vida (Mersky et

al., 2017).
