Last Saturday, Mr Lee took his family to a new restaurant for dinner. They left
their house at around 7 o’clock in the evening. It took them about 20 minutes to
get to the restaurant. They enjoyed their dinner. By the time they had finished
having dinner, it was already 9.30 p.m. Then, they headed home.
As Mr. Lee was parking his car, Mrs. Lee saw that the front window was open.
She felt strange because she was sure that she had closed all the windows and
locked the doors before leaving their house. Mr. Lee then went into the house to
check if everything was alright. Mrs. Lee stayed in the car with their children.
Mr. Lee was shocked to see that the house was in a mess. Things were
thrown everywhere. The television set in the living room was missing. The
computer and the printer in the study room were also missing. When Mrs. Lee
went in the kitchen, she noticed that her microwave oven was also missing. Their
children complained that their laptops were gone, too. Mr. Lee then quickly called
the police.

Phua Khein Aeng is a young Malaysian who invented the flash drive.
A flash drive is a memory device for storing information to or from a
cpmputer. He invented the flash drive when he was 27 years old.

Khein Seng is from Sekinchan, Selangor. He left Malaysia at the age

of 19 to pursue a degree in electrical control engineering at Chiao Tung
University, Taiwan. It was during his third year in university that he began
conducting research into flash memory technology. Khein Seng was a top
student. After he finished his studies, he set up a company with his
friends.

Khein Seng’s success has brought him a lot of awards. His advice to
people who want to be successful is to have patience with the things they
are doing. He also added that one must not give up but keep improving
themselves.
