Major usage : The sealing compound JNL 1241 is used to stop the industrial
leaks without any shutdown.

Major specifications : Elastomer based compound in which are incorporated various

mineral loads and a solvent.
The leak is mainly stopped by the compression of the sealing
compound volume.
Then the compound JNL 1241 has to be injected in an adapted
enclosure (please contact the manufacturer).

Usage Its granulometric measuring and its solvent content are giving the
recommendations : compound JNL 1241 a mid fluidity.

Some fluids examples : Ammonia, arsenic, benzene, butane, chlorine, crotonaldehyde,

crude oil, cyclohexane, diethanolamine, ethylene, hexan,
furfuraldehyde, hydrochloric acid, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide,
kerozene, methane, methanol, naphta, nitric acid, nitrogen,
oxygen, phenol, phosphoric acid, polyamide, propane, propylene,
sulfolan, urea …

This list which has to be considered as non exhaustive and

for information only has been issued from our experience.

Because of the dangerousity of the fluids, all the following

parameters have to be considered for selecting the compound
JNL 1241 :
- Safety and know how of the users,
- On line pressure and temperature,
- Location and importance of the leak.

Usage : The sealing compound JNL 1241 does not require any
preparation before its injection.
To use this compound, fitting a metallic enclosure around the
leaking part is required (except on stuffing boxes).
A specific injection set is needed for injecting the sealing
compound.

In case of inflammable fluids and gases, an inerting system

has to be installed before and during the injection phase.

Because of its usage, this compound has to be operated by

entitled persons only.

Conditioning : Our compound is produced by 90 mm long and 15 mm diameter

stick (average).
It is packed in 10 sticks in sealed metallic can (gross weight
380 gr approx) or in a reclosable aluminized bag (gross weight
320 gr).

Storage and life time : The compound has to be stored under an ambiant temperature
less than 35 °C.
In its original conditioning the compound keeps its intrinsic
caracteristics for 2 years.
To preserve the remaining sticks, fill the container with water and
close it. The life time will be roughly 2 months.
As it is, a stick is staying in proper conditions 48 hours.
