'Pinay' cat reaches Los Angeles

It was an incredibly long journey for this cat who traveled all the way to
Los Angeles, California from Manila, Philippines.

How? Well, apparently, she sneaked in a container ship and survived

without food and water during the entire trip.

An Associated Press report quoted Los Angeles County Animal Director

Marcia Mayeda as saying that the female cat was "weak and frail after
the 7,300-mile trip," but has since recovered after two weeks of
treatment.

The female feline was reportedly named Pinay.

"The cat has cleared quarantine but needs to be adopted into a calm
home because she is still skittish. Potential adopters can email
daccevents@animalcare.lacounty.gov." the AP report added.
