Tangerang, along with South Tangerang, is where many giant developers created built-up
areas such as BSD City, Gading Serpong, Alam Sutera, and Lippo Village. Tangerang is home
for Soekarno-Hatta International Airport which serves Jakarta metropolitan area and as the
Indonesia’s main gateway. Indonesia Convention Exhibition BSD  is the biggest convention
and exhibition centre in Indonesia opened in 2015.

Many international corporations have plants in the city. Tangerang tends to be hot and
humid, with little in the way of trees or geographical features. In recent years the urban
expansion of Jakarta has covered Tangerang. As a result, many of its residents
commute to Jakarta for work or vice versa.

Many high-class and middle-class satellite city have been developed in Tangerang,


complete with their own shopping malls, private schools, universities and convenience
center. The government is working on expanding the highway system to
accommodate more traffic flow to and from the area. Tangerang is the corporations
alternative to move or build their offices from Jakarta due to the heavy traffic and
crowds, such as Unilever Indonesia, Google, Microsoft, Huawei and Mitsubishi that
moved their head quarter from Jakarta to Serpong and BSD City.

On the November 14th, 2014, Kingland Holdings, and Alfaland
Group has formally partnered in a joint venture company as
PT. Hong Kong Kingland.

On the September 23rd, 2016, at Shangri-La, Jakarta,


PT. Hong Kong Kingland officially announced in a press
conference event to the nationwide through the medias
about their first pioneer project, Kingland Avenue.
CHAIRMAN
MR. CHUN KEUNG CHAN (陈进强)

Mr. Chun Keung Chan was born in Medan, Indonesia in 1951, from where he traces his family roots back to Longyan, Fujian
Province in Southeastern China. In 1965, he returned to China and studied at the Beijing Overseas Chinese Training School (now known
as the Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College). After being sent by the Party to Inner Mongolia as an apprentice mechanic,
Mr. Chan continued his study and graduated from the Taiyuan College of Technology (now known as the Taiyuan University of Technology).

In 1975, Mr. Chan decided to settle in Hong Kong and expand his business interests to a greater level, including businesses in real
estate, renewable energy, agriculture and retail. Throughout the years, Mr. Chan has grown his family business from a domestic
company to an international conglomerate, which covers businesses in China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Current-
ly 2 of the companies founded by Mr. Chan are listed in Hong Kong - ELL Environmental Holdings Ltd.(1395) and Grace Vineyard (8146).

commercial businesses, Mr. Chan is actively involved and took part in various cultural and educational programs and other charitable work.
Mr. Chan is also a member of the Fujian Standing Committee of the CPPCC, Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Overseas Chinese
Association, Vice President of the Huaqiao University in Fujian & the Vice President of the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Association.
