    method

    The graph of S= n(n+1)/2 is attached:

    S = Sum of the natural numbers

    The vertical axis gives S, the sum

    The horizontal axis gives n, the number of


    terms

    From the graph, we can see that values of


    S (Sum) can be obtained from values of n.

    For example, when n = 2, S = 3

    and actually ..... 1 + 2 = 3

    when n = 3, S = 6
    and actually ..... 1 + 2 + 3 = 6
