Group work. Form a group with 2 to 3 members. Please go through the reforms proposed by the
Propaganda Movement back then. Then answer the following questions:

1. Among the reforms proposed by the Propaganda movement name one proposed reform

that we are enjoying in the present time (cite an example and explain)

The main purpose of the propaganda movement is was to create reforms in the

Philippines society. Jose Rizal was one huge figure during this time who was key to this.

a. One reform which is being enjoyed by us and especially the Philippines society is

the abolition of labor services and forced sales of goods to the government. Now

there is no forced sales of good and the labor services have been abolished.

b. The main reform of the propaganda movement itself failed and did not succeed. It

was to identify Philippines as a province of Spain, and this was not accepted.

2. Given a chance in the present time, what reform would your group like to propose

whether in the economic, political or social cultural aspect? Explain your answer.

In today’s society, the main reform which should be proposed or should be

practiced is equality. Whether it is in social, economic or cultural areas practice of

equality can lead to solve most of the problems persisting in the world now and hence it

should be the reform which should be proposed.
