Learning Portal
(CBSUAvLP)
an accessible digital
website to all the course
contents, resources, tools
and instruments that aid
teaching and learning
process, and it acts as a
repository for teaching and
learning materials or
modules used for the
lessondelivery.

► The CBSUA Virtual Learning Portal (VLP) can be accessed through the
link, https://vlp.cbsua.edu.ph/.

► Accessible 24/7. Activities can be both asynchronous and synchronous-


mode (Blended);

► Individual dashboards for teachers and students are available, where


they can directly connect to the courses they handle.

► Has messaging capability (CHAT ROOM): teachers to students (vice


versa) and supports video and audio teleconference for discussion and
feedback;

► An OFFLINE-mode for mobile devices is now available. Students can


use CBSUA-VLP App and install it on their mobile devices to access the
online classroom and do their lessons even in an OFFLINE-MODE.
Activities and the student responses will auto-sync to the server once the
student gets a good internet connection through WIFI or using data.

with six (6) weeks interval.

 How can I use my Institutional E-mail?


 To activate your institutional e-mail, go to www.mail.google.comand
log-in using the default details that was provided to you.
 Replace your password on your first log-in

 Will there still be face-to-face classes this


semester?
 Synchronous learning platforms will be used such as Google Meet,
Zoom and other Video Conferencing applications.

 Is there a policy on the accessibility of learning


materials in the VLP?
 VLP is equipped with restrictions that can be set by the teachers. The
viewing and accessing of the resources and activities in the VLP is
determined by the teacher upon consultation with the class. Students
must comply all the requirements and outputs needed for each lesson
within the set time.

 If the students do not have the capability to


access online, are printed modules available? If
yes, is it for free?
 Students without internetaccess may choose to use modular
learning approach. The university shall provide them with
printed copies of the modules, FREE OF CHARGE.

 Students who opt to avail the modular


approach, how are they going to get the printed
materials and return it after completion?
 Printed materials are available at the Chairperson’s Office or it
can be claimed in the designated pick up points on schedule
that will be announced thru CBSUA PIO page. After
completion, the module will be submitted to the Chairperson
or to the designated person where it was taken.
Definition of Terms
 Flexible Learning is the design and delivery of programs, courses, and learning
interventions that meet learners’individual needs specifically on venue, pacing,
process, and outputs of learning. It is a combination of the use of online and offline -
CBSUAVirtual Learning Portal (CBSUAvLP) residential school work-modular
depending on the internet connectivity.

 Virtual Learning Platform (VLP) is an accessible digital website to all the course
contents, resources,, tools and instruments that aid teaching and learning process,
and it acts as a repository for teaching and learning materials or modules used for the
lesson delivery.

 Courserefers to the subject matter offered or taken based on a given curriculum

 Asynchronous Learning is a type of learning that is teacher-directed. The teacher


provides the resources, competency assessments, exchange threads in discussion
board wherein students can access and comply these requirements within a flexible
time frame using the CBSUAvLPand printed module.

 Synchronous Learning is a kind of learning that happens in real-time, by which


students and the teacher interact both in a particular virtual place, using a specific
online medium like videoconferencing, live chatting, live-streaming lectures through
platforms embedded in the VLP such as Google meet, messenger etc., at a specific
time.
