While this is my first time programming a set of flight controls, I have tried to do so with as much relatable experience as
a 767 and 757 pilot.
My purpose for this set of configurations, was to enable the user to have a more practical experience of utilizing
switches / controls that are commonly and most frequently used when operating the 767 (and 757).
I have listed the assignments, including their DATAREF references. The values are not included – but you can dig deeper
using the honeycomb configurator software to see how I’ve set it up.
Credits go to: Heinz Flichtbeil and HighFlyer525 for laying out some great ground work and tutorials for getting this thing
started.
HIGHLIGHTS
Magneto Switch
I have elected to utilize the “magneto/start selector” as an EFIS Range selector dial. While the autobrake selector is also
a fine choice (and may be the way to go if you do not have the flat panel installation) – I personally find that the
autobrake selector is a one-time use kind of thing. There-fore I wanted to use it for alternating selected map range, as
we constantly do while flying.
1. 5 nm
2. 10nm
3. 20nm
4. 40nm
5. 80nm
*NOTE: Depicted ranges work when sim loads by default. IF EFIS range selector has been manually changed with mouse
/ etc- then the accuracy of these default ranges will deteriorate.
I chose these defaults as we typically only zoom in / out to focus as getting closer to a particular FIX or for monitoring
approach accuracy.
Momentary range disagree message will show up on NAV screen as this conflicts with F/O panel selection. It will
disappear eventually.
FUEL CONTROL SWITCHES
(1-sim/fuel/fuelCutOff) left / right)

APU
(1-sim/engine/APU/StartSelector)
8. Unassigned
*APU Startup functions as the starter rotary switch normally would. Therefore, turn ON (button 5) and then START
(button 7) For 3 seconds. Then START switch OFF (position 8).
While Position 8 has no official assignment – the release of position 7 will revert to the APU to maintaining it’s ON status
until selected OFF.
EXTERIOR LIGHTS
Exterior light switches were programmed in reverse order from what would typically be the standard on most setups.
This is to simulate the actual switching motion experienced on the airplane itself, where “ON” position requires
PUSHING the lights on and OFF requires PULLING the light switches back.
All Axis are the standard / default programmed, or as carried forward from Highflyer525’s 757 profile.
*NOTE SPEEDBRAKE auto-deploys with reverse operation and will require recycling of Speed Brake Lever in order to
stow once on the ground (if not already manually activated)
The mode arrangement was to keep nomenclature closer to button names themselves. While this arrangement isn’t
perfect (order of LEDs when mode activated) – they function accordingly on the FMA (which is really where pilots are
supposed to look to verify selected modes anyway. ;o)
