3. Product overview
To prevent damages in ventilator settings and stored data information upon loss of
AC power source (such as power cable is disconnected suddenly from the power
outlets) during use of the ventilator, the ventilator power source is convert to internal
battery (12 VDC power) automatically and the ventilator can be operations continue
according to remaining rechargeable battery status. Frequently, check the battery
charging conditions.
NOTE
Internal battery (rechargeable) can be replaced if necessary, even during use of
the ventilator.
Also, the ventilator can be used by connect the external 12V DC power. In here,
similar as the internal battery operation, the ventilator power source is convert to
external 12V DC power automatically upon loss of AC power source during use of the
ventilator. Ventilator setting and stored data information are preserved.
Internal battery:
Rechargeable battery, 12 VDC, 7Ah. Pb.
CAUTION
When use of external 12V DC power, the internal battery must be installed and
use with internal battery for safe operation of the ventilator.

2. Select the one of 'SV1_O2' or SV2_Air' on the connected high pressure gas for flow rate adjust and
calibration.
*For this calibration procedure, the high pressure Air and Oxygen gases must be connected already in
the medical gas supply system.
4. There are two ways to method of calibration and inspection of the ‘inspiratory flow rate’, one for the
fine calibration and other one for the test of the 'inspiratory flow rate' simply.
The first method is change of numeric typing from 1330 to 2250 in the 'PV1_PWM3' window for the fine
calibration, and the second method is to enter flow value by 'PV1 Flow Set' window for test of ‘inspiratory
flow rate’.
The first method of the fine calibration to the ‘inspiratory flow rate’ by use of direct numeric typing to
'PV1_PWM3' window:
1) Typing numeric 1498 and click button for accept, it will be measured around 10 LPM at the flow
analyzer. If measured flow rate at the flow analyzer is higher or lower than 10LPM, then adjust the
numeric for match to 10 LPM on the flow analyzer.
MV2000 Ventilator
Service Manual
2) Make sure that 10 LPM (± 0.1) and click ‘②10 lpm’ button to save the calibrated data.
3) Typing numeric 1810 and click button for accept, it will be measured around 100 LPM at the flow
analyzer. If measured flow rate at the flow analyzer is higher or lower than 100 LPM, then adjust the
numeric for match to 100 LPM on the flow analyzer.
4) Make sure that measuring value of 100 LPM at the flow analyzer. After then, increase the numeric
step by step until match to measuring value 120 LPM on the flow analyzer.
5) Make sure that 120 LPM(± 1) and click ‘④120 lpm’ button to save the calibrated data.
*Make sure that ‘① 5 lpm (±0.1)’ and ‘③ 30 lpm(±0.5)’ calibration procedure same as above procedure
from No. 1 to No. 5.
The second method is the simply inspection about the result of the fine calibration on the 'inspiratory
flow rate' of performed the first method by use of direct enter the ‘flow rate’ to 'PV1 Flow Set[lpm]’
window.
1) Step 1: Enter 5 in the first digit (not a decimal point) at 'PV1 Flow Set[lpm]’ window and click button
for accept, it will be measured around 5 LPM at the flow analyzer.
*Record the measured value
2) Step 2: Enter 10 in the first digit (not a decimal point) at 'PV1 Flow Set[lpm]’ window and click button
for accept, it will be measured around 10 LPM at the flow analyzer.
3) Step 3: Enter 30 in the first digit (not a decimal point) at 'PV1 Flow Set[lpm]’ window and click button
for accept, it will be measured around 30 LPM at the flow analyzer.
4) Step 4: Enter 120 in the first digit (not a decimal point) at 'PV1 Flow Set[lpm]’ window and click
button for accept, it will be measured around 120 LPM at the flow analyzer.
If measured each of four flow rate value at the flow analyzer are higher or lower than tolerance of 5%,
then, go to ‘first method of fine calibration’ procedure and execute again the fine calibration.
5. Click ‘InsFlow FactorCalc’ button when completed procedures of ‘first method and second method’.
