GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR DYS PREACHERS

Introduction :-
      In Introduction we can tell “what is going to be told”.
       Revise the previous sessions atleast names of others sessions & small intro of last session

 We can start with “story”, a quote, a question … to catch the attention of the audience.
       Don’t say that it’s a life changing experience.

       LITTLE SMILE DOES WONDERS

Maitaining interest :-
       Give time for audience to understand .
       Check the pulse of audience by checking whether they have understood or not .

       In stories details are very important .

       Some things can be come out of their mouth .(if they think deeply they come to understand ).

       Too much reading of slides is not good .

       Have control over the audience like give choice and select the person who has to read.

       When we ask people to read something there must be some purpose behind that .

       We should not show the people their ignorance.

       when we ask question we can ask ourselves how it is related to the aim .

       When talking of stress go to their level & say so that they can relate.

       Don’t involve audience too much else we will get distracted from the objectives of the sessions.

       Ask that person who is disturbing to read the slide …

       Asking question is the best criteria to bring the audience to the same platform .

Conclusion :-
       Conclude in a punching way for the audience to carry some thing with them .
       If you can’t cover some thing put them in conclusion & people will carry home without a question.

Flow :-
 Some thing you have promised to explain you have to come back again.
Coverage :-
   The most vital things we have to explain cutting short the other thing if required.
 If you can’t cover some thing put them in conclusion & people will carry home without a question.
 BEST IS TO KEEP ALL SLIDES AND SPEAK LITTLE ABOUT EVERYTHING .
Precision (time management ):-
 Put a watch

       Plan out your lesson times & total time spent in each lesson eg)  first point takes this much time &
second point takes this a most imp lesson …
       In 3 session Predictions of vedas must not be given the whole time .
rd

       USE THE CONCLUSION TO FEED BACK & CONCLUSION IN CASE IF You MISS FEED BACK
.
       PLAN WELL BEFORE WHERE I CAN CUT DOWN .

Facing the audience :-

       first give presentation to your mind & then to other person & then to the FY students
       AVOID “YOU” IN THE SESSIONS .USE I OR WE; for difficult to digest points.

       Appreciate the student for reading the slides.

       When they tell the meaning of the verse eg) “ahara nidra bhaya ……..” ; they get confidence .

circles.
 If any person says from movies etc break his logic and carry on w/o giving importance to the point.
