 About the Conference
The Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) refer to
the legal privileges granted to the inventor or
researcher or creator to safeguard their work for a
predetermined amount of time. Protection of
intellectual property is essential for promoting
innovation. Without intellectual property protection,
companies and individuals would not get full profit
from their creations and would devote less time to
R&D. These legal rights allow the inventor or
researcher or creator, or his assignee, the sole right to
fully exploit their idea or creativity for a specific
amount of time. The right to benefit from the
protection of moral and material interests stemming
from the authorship of scientific, literary, or creative
achievements is defined in Article 27 of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
All nations may realize intellectual property's
potential as a driver of economic progress, social and
cultural well-being with the aid of an effective and
equitable intellectual property system that provides
a setting in which innovation and creativity can
flourish, to the benefit of all, balancing the interests
of innovators and the general public.
The result of someone's intelligence, creativity,
labour and talent is their intellectual property.
Therefore, building an atmosphere that encourages
creativity and innovation in the nation depends on IPR
understanding. The four primary intellectual
property rights categories are patents, trademarks,
copyrights and designs. So, along with these basic
elements of IPRs and associated rights, geographical
indications and industrial designs are all covered for
discussion during this planned conference. The some
of the issues to be discussed during conference are
regarding IPR laws in cyberspace, copyright,
trademarks, patenting of traditional knowledge
bases, plagiarism and research ethics.

About the College
The Venue of the Seminar is M.L.K.(P.G.) College,
Balrampur (U.P.). The College was established by
Maharaja Sir Pateshwari Prasad Singh in the year
1955 and is more popularly known as Oxford of Tarai.
The College is accredited with Grade 'B' by NAAC.
The College is situated at a distance of 165 km in the
East from Lucknow & 189 km from Gorakhpur. Direct
Trains are available to reach Balrampur from any
corner of India. The College is situated in the heart of
city at distance 03 Km from Balrampur Railway
Station and 01 Km. from Jharkhandi Halt (Station).
