THE STORY OF ASHABUL KAHFI

Once there lived seven young men who believed in Allah azza wa jalla. They lived
between era of Jesus AS and Muhammad SAW, in the King of Decius period precisely.
(Pada suatu waktu hiduplah tujuh pemuda yang beriman kepada Allah azza wa jalla.
Mereka hidup di era Nabi Isa AS dan Nabi Muhammad SAW, tepatnya pada masa raja
Dikyanus)
The King of Decius was a vicious and brutal figure. He always ordered to kill his people
who refused to worship the idols.
(Raja Dikyanus adalah tokoh yang brutal dan kejam. Dia selalu memerintahkan untuk
membunuh rakyatnya yang menolak menyembah para berhala.)

The guard : This man refused to worship our idols, my Lord.

The King of Decius : How dare you! The guard, just kill him!

The seven young men decided to flee as far as they could. They brought a dog named
Qathmair.
They kept walking until they found a cave.
(Tujuh pemuda tersebut memutuskan untuk melarikan diri sejauh yang mereka bisa.
Mereka membawa seekor anjing bernama Qathmair. Mereka terus berjalan sampai
mereka menemukan sebuah gua.)

Maxalmena : What about having a rest in this place?

Martinus : Sure. I’m so tired.
Kastunus : Let me make bonfire.
Bairunus : I’ll help you, then
Danimus : Kithmir will look after us, guys
Yathbunus : At least, we’re safe from The King of Decius here.
Thamlika : Yeah. Let’s just sleep, then.

Time flew away until they woke up.. (Waktu berlalu sampai mereka terjaga)

Maxalmena : Hey… wake up, everyone.

Martinus : I’m still sleepy.
Kastunus : How long have we been sleeping, guys?
Bairunus : Maybe around one or one and a half hours.
Danimus : I’m hungry. What about going out to buy some food?
Yathbunus : Let’s do it, then.
Thamlika : Okay.

After that, Maxalmena and Yathbunus went down to the market far under the cave
where they hid. (Setelah ini Maxalmena dan Yathbunus turun ke pasar jauh di bawah
gua dimana mereka bersembunyi.)

Maximelmena : I want to buy some bread and vegetables, Sir.

Seller : Sure. Here you are.
Yathbunus : Here’s the money.
Seller : Hey.. what kind of money is it?

From the incident in the market, the seven young men realized that they had slept for
309/three hundred and nine years in the cave.
(Dari kejadian di pasar itu ketujuh pemuda tersebut menyadari bahwa mereka telah
tidur selama 309 tahun).
After knowing what had happened, the king in the era called the seven young men to
his palace.
(Kemudian raja di masa itu memanggil ke tujuh pemuda tersebut).

The King of Afasus : All of you are safe now. You can continue worshiping Allah SWT.
The seven young men : Thank you very much, My Lord.

Hopefully this story amuses all of us and brings a contemplation about the power and
the glory of Allah azza wa jalla.
