5 CONTROLLER CONNECTIONS

5.1 Programming "pCO*" family controllers

This information refers to all "pCO*" family controllers.

5.1.1 Accessories for the connections

To set the parameters in “pCO” family controllers, you will need:
-- Modbus/USB converter kit CVSTDUTLF0 (Blue Box code MICA5410) for connection to the "pCO" controller with te-
lephone cable, or Modbus/USB converter kit CVSTDUMOR0 (Blue Box code MICA5415) for connection to the "pCO"
controller with cable 3 x 0.5 mm2;
-- Power supply kit for control programming (Blue Box code 1SEL091A);
-- Connection cable with 6-way telephone connector (Carel code S90CONN000) / (Blue Box code MICA0320), or piece
of cable 3 x 0.5 mm2.

5.1.2 Connections
Connect the Modbus/USB converter CVSTDUTFL0 (Blue Box code MICA5410) to the USB port of the PC using the cable
present in the kit and, by means of the 6-way telephone connector, connect the converter to the pLAN serial port on the
“J10” terminal of the "pCO" controller, which is the same as the one where the user interface is to be connected.
Or connect the Modbus/USB converter CVSTDUMOR0 (Blue Box code MICA5415) to the USB port of the PC using the
cable present in the kit and, using the piece of cable 3 x 0.5 mm2, connect the converter to the pLAN serial port on the “J11”
terminal of the "pCO" controller.
Power up the controller through the power supply kit.

When connecting the converter to the “J11” terminal of the "pCO" controller, observe the polarity shown on
the components.

5.1.3 Files for programming

From “sap fiori”, download the parameters file for programming the controller.
When the contents of the compressed file are extracted, a set of folders will be created containing the programming files
and the file with “.dev” extension for setting the parameters regarding the specific serial number.

Depending on how the files were compressed, file “.dev” for setting the parameters may be in a different
folder from the files for programming.

5.1.4 Starting pCOManager and connection with the controller

With a double click on the “pCOManager” icon …

… the program will start after a few moments

The parameters file, whose name consists of the serial number of the unit, with extension “.dev”, may not be
present in the folder with the other programming files and therefore does not appear in the “Default settings
(file.DEV)” window.

If the parameters file regarding the unit for which the controller is being programmed is not present in the “Default settings
(file.DEV)” window, press on the “Add DEV to List …” drop-down.

Look for the parameters file in the folders where the files downloaded from “sap fiori” were extracted.

Select it with the mouse to insert it in the “File name” drop-down and confirm with the “Ok” button.
