The Drug De-addiction Programme (DDAP)


Drug was initiated in 1988 under the Ministry of
De-Addiction Health and Family Welfare, Government of

Drug rehabilitation is an umbrella term for
the process of medical and psychotherapeutic
treatment, for dependency on psychoactive
substances such as alcohol, prescription drug,
and so-called street drugs such as cocaine,

There are many social and ethical issues surrounding
the use and abuse of drugs.
• One of the most hotly contested issues concerning

• Another major area of concern involves the abuse
of drugs in sports, which can send conflicting
