The Drug De-addiction Programme (DDAP)

Drug was initiated in 1988 under the Ministry of
De-Addiction Health and Family Welfare, Government of

(DDAP) treatment for substance use disorders (SUDs).

 Drug rehabilitation is an umbrella term for
the process of medical and psychotherapeutic
treatment, for dependency on psychoactive
substances such as alcohol, prescription drug,
and so-called street drugs such as cocaine,

Effectiveness:

Drug rehabilitation centers play an important

role to make drug addict free of addiction.
 There are many social and ethical issues surrounding
the use and abuse of drugs.
• One of the most hotly contested issues concerning
Neuroethics contemporary drug abuse centres on whether
issues: currently illicit drugs should be legalized.
• Another major area of concern involves the abuse
of drugs in sports, which can send conflicting
messages to young generations whose idols are
professional athletes.
