The Weimar government had to make a policy on inflation in order to deal with losing the
war. However, this ended up affecting German political culture in a bad way because inflation
sent the economy in shambles.
The stabilization of 1924 was a remarkable economic success yet had negative
political ramifications. Why?
Although they were able to get the economy stabilized in 1924, it had negative political
ramifications because other countries got involved in order to save German economics.
When Hitler gained power over the NSDAP, he tried implementing and focusing on the
tactic of propaganda. He adopted this because it can be used as a way to control and
brainwash people. “Party strategy lacked an issue during the “Golden Twenties” (1924-1929).
As a result, the Nazis were an abysmal failure at the poll. With the economic collapse of
1929-1930, Hitler found his issue. The Great Depression in 1929 brought a stunning drop in
industrial production, a sharp increase in unemployment, and a spiraling government deficit.”
It was the communists and Hindenburg vs. NSDAP/Nazis in all of these political, and sometimes
on the streets, fights. The Nazis kept getting super close but not close enough.
How were the Nazis able to mobilize such massive support in such a short amount
of time?
Between an endless onslaught of propaganda and Hitler always fighting for power word
got around and he became well known fast.
