TIPS WHEN PRINTING AN OBJECT

Never leave the printer unattended when it is printing an object!

Never cover the fans.
Place the printer on a stable and firm surface.
Use the printer in a place where unsupervised small children or a pet cannot reach it
while it is printing or hot.
Keep the area underneath the printer free from obstacles or dirt.
Make sure there are no sources of sudden wind gusts (open window, door, ...) as this
could lead to warping.

HOW TO CHECK THE FIRST PRINTED LAYER

Check out the the side view below with different positions of the first layer.

1 and 2: not good! The nozzle height calibration is set too low.
3 and 4: good! The nozzle height calibration is OK for both.
5: not good! The nozzle height calibration is set too high.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE PRINTING AGAIN AFTER A LONG TIME

If you haven't 3D printed in more than two weeks, we would suggest you do the following
before you start printing again;

Check whether the print bed holder and hotend holder are still able to move smoothly.
If not, oil all rods but make sure the oil does not get in contact with the plastic
parts or the print bed
The BuildTak sticker may be greasy or dirty so make sure to clean the BuildTak
surface with a moist towel or detergent.
Check whether the filament on your spool hasn't caught too much dust. If so, clean
your filament or use new filament.
