This manual has been written by BIESSE for the sole use of its own customers, and contains
information bound by reserved property rights. It must not be photocopied or reproduced in any

Introduction
The text sections that must not be overlooked are highlighted and preceded by the symbols
described and illustrated below.
Text marked with this symbol indicates imminent dangers, and the contents must
therefore be taken into careful account in order to prevent a serious accident.
Text marked with this symbol indicates procedures to be used and actions to be
taken to avoid any damage to goods and property.
This symbol is used to indicate points of particular importance that must not be overlooked.

I
IP address
Identification number of a device connected to a data processing network;e.g. a printer, a
network card, etc.

Notification area
Area to the right of the taskbar that includes the clock and various icons indicating the status of
some programs and the computer settings.
P
Port
Connector, channel through which the data enters and leaves the computer;e.g. serial port ,
parallel port, etc.

Quick start
Toolbar allowing some programs to be run with just one click.
T
Taskbar
Horizontal bar displayed on the lower part of the screen and is always visible. The taskbar is
divided into four main sections:
Start button (Start); the quick launch toolbar; the central section showing icons of the programs
and documents open; message area.
Touchscreen
Touch-sensitive screen allowing interaction with the graphic interface using the fingers.
1 General description
The BiesseLabel package consists of application software that allow the user to define the data
necessary for printing the labels of the individual machined workpieces and/or the layouts of the
BPP files generated at the end of the “Nesting” project's process.

Toolbar
The following is a list and description of the toolbar buttons.
Button Description
Creates a new document to produce the label model.
Overwrites the data of the active XML format document or memorises the data
of the new document in a file with extension XML.
Button Description
Deletes the selected text box or image frame .
The left tree shows the list of table layouts generated during the Nesting project processing,
together with the relative list of labels to print.
The centre table shows a list of all the BPP documents inserted in the processed Nesting
project.
Toolbar
The following is a list and description of the toolbar buttons.
Button Description
Opens the results document (XML), i.e. the document containing the nesting
results.
Displays a preview of the labels generated in the active results document.
Displays the window used for defining the label printing options.
To display the application software, click on the icon in the notification area of the Windows
taskbar . If this is not present, once the application software has been launched, click on the
appropriate desktop icon.

Displays the environment Offline (see paragraph 2.1, page 17).

buttons that allow certain functions and/or operations to be executed:
Open Opens the MNO format document generated during the processing of the
“Nesting” project. In this case, the project must be processed using the
icon (refer to the appropriate BiesseNest user instructions). Command
present only in the environment Offline.
Print all Prints all the labels present in the open document.
Clean Cleans the body of the environment, deleting the profile selections.
Delete Permanently deletes the MNO format document from the path in which it
was stored.
Close Closes the current document.
Restores the image to normal dimensions, adapting it to the area.
D Status bar
bar positioned on the lower part of the application software showing the status of the printer and
machine. The green led indicates the inline mode with the printer and the machine NC.
• The connection with the printer allows the commands to be transmitted for printing the
labels.
Printer
• The connection with the NC displays messages warning that the work program has finished
and that the label printing can be launched in work mode Online.

This mode allows all the Offline labels of the required “Nesting" projects to be printed even if they
are not in execution.
If the application software is connected to the machine's NC and work is being carried out in the
environment Offline, when the machined pieces are deposited on the unloading pallet, a red
icon appears on the status bar indicating that it is now possible to print the labels of the recently
completed program. In this case, in order to pass to the environment, click on this Online icon or
on the button .
• Click on the layout of the document to print which will then be expanded.
• Position the cursor (or finger in the case of a touchscreen monitor) on the profile and keep
the left button of the mouse pressed for a few seconds. When the profile changes colour to
light blue, this means that the printing has started. Use the side buttons to enlarge or reduce
the display.
• To disable the selections made in order to repeat the printing, click on the button Clean.
• To close the extended mode, click on the button Close.
If the application software is open once the execution of the program has terminated, an
information message will appear with the relative icon displayed on the status bar to indicate
the presence of the machined pieces on the unloading pallet to be labelled . Clicking this
icon opens the layout of the program just run. Proceed with the label printing.
In the case where the application software is reduced to an icon once the execution of the
program has terminated, an information message will appear next to the icon in the notification
area . If the message is clicked, the layout of the program just executed is opened in the
environment Online. Proceed with the label printing.

IP address indicated in the relative window of the connection settings of the LPrint application
software (ref. A, figure 4).
Port number
IP address of the port indicated in the relative window of the connection settings of the LPrint
application software (ref. B, figure 4).

In this case, when launching a program present in path “..home\d_xnc\...”, the system will search
for the MNO file in this path and then in the folder indicated in the data field Folder for searching.
