Moral Life of the Church

BSN- II C

1. Reflection I
The words that struck me most in the lesson is the importance of ethics as a practical science, and how it
is a study in the last end of man, and to learn acts that is morally upright. I have learned and have put in
mind that Christian moral life is about the Gospel. It is about growing in love and holiness, which opens
my eyes more to the proper beliefs in a Christian-centered morality and life.

2. Reflection II
The words that struck me most in the lesson is “Everyone is called to follow Jesus...” which is made
attainable by the given moral-capacity to do what is good- strengthened with graces and virtues which
will help us. It made me realize that to live a morally upright life, I should not just live without
committing sin, but to also follow Jesus and his teachings, to pray; recognize my weaknesses, offer little
sacrifices for him, be a peacemaker, commune with nature, and more. It has given me the chance to
reflect on my actions and make myself more aware of my actions in the future.

3. Reflection III
It has strengthened my knowledge that God created everything, he put order in things, that He is the
author of order, beauty and purpose, it has helped me realize that the Church is more than a vessel for
God and his followers. I have learned more about the roles of the church as an educator and a different
aspect to view dignity, which is the law only recognizes, honor, and protect, but not grant it to us, it is
from the thought that each of us is created in the image and likeness of God, with an immortal destiny.

4. Reflection IV
I have learned more about the Holy Spirit, its power and role to the populace. I have also expanded my
knowledge of what makes of us with the Holy Spirit, such as it makes us children of God, that it enables
us to love God and anybody else, empower us to bear witness to Jesus by sharing his mission of Prophet,
Priest and King, The Holy Spirit, which enables us to know the truth, how it draws us into community,
unity and service towards one another, and inspire us to live a truly Christian life. This makes me realize
new roles of the Holy Spirit that I did not know of, as well as strengthen my basis of morality, as it
changed my opinion on the Holy Spirit, not as a figure that keeps us from sin, but only as a guide, we are
not immune to sin and that we should be more aware of our actions.
