2.1 Research Design

The design of a research study is a framework or collection of methods and procedures

for collecting and interpreting data on variables stated in a specific research challenge.

A descriptive method of research shall be used in the study. The objectives or the goal of this study is to
learn what are those impacts for students when it comes on budgeting their weekly allowance.
Budgeting ensures that you don’t spend more than your budget, allowing you to plan for both short-
and long-term expenses. It’s a simple, effective way for students to keep their budget alive until their
next weekly allowance.

This study employed a quantitative research approach based on the proposed model.

Google Forms were used to create and develop an online questionnaire for the online survey.

There were two parts to the question. In the first part, respondents were asked about their
demographic profile, the second part is for answering the provided questions of the researchers.

2.2 Research Locale

This study will be conducted on Bestlink College of the Philippines Located at the P2HR+CMV, Quirino
Hwy, Novaliches, Quezon City, Metro Manila.

2.3 Population and Sampling

The researchers decided to collect survey questionnaires for Students in Quirino Hwy, Novaliches,
Quezon City. The researchers will use the purposive sampling method to achieve the study goals

and objectives. Researchers will focus on a total of 20 respondents in Quirino Hwy, Novaliches

Quezon City who has relevance to our study. The researchers will use the Likert scale using

Google Forms. The researchers set different criteria in selecting the respondents that suit the

study to gather in-depth information: [1] male or female; [2] 18 years old and above.
2.4 Research Ethics

The researchers will not cause any harm or incur any costs for the respondents. Any

information received will only be used for this research. At all times, your answers and privacy

will be respected. Participants are expected to be free from discomfort while participating since

participants are free to start whenever they are free and comfortable, which can also be done from

the comfort of their homes. After the study is finished, a copy of the article will be sent to the

academic member responsible for it. All obtained information will be compiled into a password-

encrypted folder in Google Drive to ensure the security of participants’ personal data which the

researchers are the only one who knows and has the access to the compiled data. Furthermore, the

compiled data will be immediately deleted after 6 months of time after the completion of the

paper. This study will be beneficial as it provides the benefits and advantages of Impact of Daily Budget
Management in the Background of Individual's Daily Necessities. The researchers will inform the
respondents of the progress of the study. We, the researchers also care for the well-being and
corresponding rights of the participants hence.

2.5 Research Instruments

The researcher will use a Google Form platform for a survey questionnaire. There are two parts to the
questionnaire Respondents will provide their information on The Impact of Daily Budget Management in
the Background of Individual's Daily Necessities.

There are two types of survey questionnaires with two parts in each that will be given to the students.
The first part is for the respondent’s demographic profile, and the second part is for answering the
provided questions by the researchers.

2.6 Data Collection

The researchers conduct the title of the study. The draft survey instrument was created by the
researchers and approved by professors. The Questions that was given to the respondents is through
Google forms via social media platform to collect the data information of the respondent including their
age and gender. After the data was collected online, the researcher checked and tallied the information
statements.

2.7 Data Analysis

The researchers will follow the formula to define the tables based on the data they collected from
respondents to answer the statement of the problem frequency and percentage. For the Impact of Daily
Budget Management in the Background of Individual's Daily Necessities
2.7.1 Frequency and Percentage

The researchers will utilize frequency and percentage in describing and analyzing the

data on age and gender. Frequency is the calculation of how many people fit into a certain category or
the number of times a characteristic occurs. This

calculation is expressed by both the absolute (actual number) and relative (percentage) totals,

Heinrich Hertz. The percentage is the most frequent way to represent statistics by percentage.

Percent simply means “per hundred”; and the symbol used to express percentage is %. One

percent (or 1%) is one-hundredth of the total or whole and is therefore calculated by dividing the

total or whole number by 100. Frequency and percentage are appropriate in analyzing the data indicate
the number of the relative position of an individual score per 100, where scores range in a graded series.

Formula: P = f/N * 100

P= percentage

F= frequency

N= total no. of respondents

Where: Percentage %

2.7.2 Weighted Mean

The weighted mean will be used to summarize and analyze data on (variable2). Weighted

mean is calculated by multiplying each data point in a set by a value determined by some feature

of whatever contributed to the data point. The collected data will be presented and analyzed

interpreted using the statistical formula below: Weighted mean will be used to determine the Impact of
Daily Budget Management in the Background of Individual's Daily Necessities.
The researchers used

the Likert scale, which indicates (1) strongly disagree, (2) disagree, (3) neither, (4) agree,

and (5) strongly agree. Likert scale means demonstrated that asking respondents to rank

themselves on a scale of favor/disfavor with a neither midpoint worked better than other methods

of measuring responses, Rensis Likert.

Formula:

∑ = summation symbol

x = value

w = weight

Where: Weighted Mean

2.7.3 Analysis of Variance

In this study, the researchers use a one-way analysis of variance (also known as one-way

ANOVA) to determine whether the means of the two samples differ significantly or not (using

the F distribution). With this approach, only numerical response data (the "Y," often one

variable), and numerical or (typically) categorical input data (the “X”; always one variable. Hence one-
way”) may be used.
