INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Kit Includes:

• Redarc bcdc charger with pre wired harness

• Laser cut bcdc mounting bracket

• 2x midi fuse holders and fuses

• nuts/bolts, screws and cable ties

• Redarc instruction booklets

*All our chargers are sent out on the “A” profile setting (unless otherwise specified) this is
the lowest voltage setting and therefore the safest setting for the charger to be set to and
we recommend using this setting. “A” profile will produce a maximum voltage of 14.6v,
“B”profile has a maximum voltage of 15.0v and “C”profile has a maximum voltage of
15.3v. For more information please refer to page 3 of your REDARC manual. If you wish
to change the profile please check with your battery supplier that the chosen battery can
handle a voltage higher than 14.6v.

Step 1
Remove front plastic guard and grill as shown in the image below.

To remove clips lift the centre part of the clip up to allow the clip to come out.

Step 2
Mount bcdc bracket in front of the radiator as shown in the image.

For this section follow the Redarc bracket instruction provided in your kit.

Step 3
Now that the charger is mounted we can begin to route the cables in the direction shown in
the image.

Step 4
Once the cables are through to the engine bay and up to the battery area it is time to make the electrical connections. First
connect the cables to the aux battery, the black cable to negative and red cable with fuse holder to positive terminal. Then
follow the same steps on the main start battery.

When connecting the earth to the main start battery ensure that you connect it to the body
side of the current sensor on the battery (refer to the image below). Use cable ties supplied
to secure all cabling from Bcdc charger to batteries.

Step 5
Connecting the small ignition wire.

Now that the main cables are connected to both batteries it is time to hook up the small ignition sense cable in to the engine
bay fuse box. This fuse box is located right beside the main engine battery. Start by removing the fuse box lid, pictured
below is a photo of the fuse box.

(FIG 1)

Making sure that the ignition is turned off and the

keys are out of the ignition remove the AC fuse
shown in the image below (FIG 1)

Take cut out of relay block to allow room for fuse

holder shown in FIG 1.

Discard fuse removed from fuse box and inset the

fuse holder provided in the kit into the AC fuse
location as shown in FIG 2 and route cable out of
fuse box as shown in FIG 2 to allow lid to go back
on the fuse box. (FIG 2)

Step 6

Now that everything has been installed and connected it is time to test the system.

Watch the video to see how to test your dual battery system: https://youtu.be/Vxc2R7mEswI

Start the engine and after a short time the vehicle light should come on and the
stage light will either be solid on or flashing depending on the state of charge of the
battery. This can be seen in the above picture.

Your dual battery system is now complete now you’re ready to wire up any
accessory you require to the battery.

*It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure that all cabling and circuit protection is secured using either
the nuts and bolt or cable ties supplied in the kit. The installer should also make sure that all cabling is away from
sharp edges, air conditioning lines and any hot or moving parts to avoid damage to the vehicle.
