Traditional hostels, as part of the traditional building initiative created by the GNTO, are not exactly
what one would call “hotels”. Τhey aren’t suited for casual stay, nor for people who, believing there
is “no place like home”, are not looking for much when choosing where they spend the night. This
is our home, the Greek home, the way it was shaped by our folk culture. Culture is not folklore, nor
is it hastily chasing after trends to create a more modern, “glamourous” home. At every destination
of Greece you choose, you will find traditional hostels, inviting you to spend an authentic time in an
environment with an aesthetic and feel molded by history and tradition.

The traditional hostels, part of the traditional settlements that GNTO created, are not simply that
which we call “hotels” . They aren’t offered for “faceless” stays in “prefab” spaces, nor for people
who “since nowhere is like our home” don’t “search” much. It is exactly “our house”, the Greek
house, like our folk culture shaped it. Culture is neither folklore, nor a hasty copy of trends and
opinions for more modern glamorous homes. In every corner of Greece, the hostels of GNTO form
a suggestion for real single day or multiple day holidays, in an environment with aesthetics, worked
by history and tradition.
