FREE CITY OF MERATHA

Merathan culture is as diverse as its individual peoples. Having long been the cultural
melting pot of all of Meracydia’s Imperial provinces, Merathans are by nature tolerant and
progressive.

Meratha’s political system is one of a kind: Each of its four districts has enough autonomy to
be called self-governing, and each elects four representatives, which are democratically
elected. Usually, three hail from the major guilds or houses of the district, while the last one
is elected as representative of the smaller guilds/houses. These representatives meet and
convene in the Keep, which is situated in the centre of the city, and they are expected to
cover their districts needs demands while also looking for what is best for the city as a
whole.

Due to their autonomy, each district has its own diverse culture different from the rest. Thus
