The title of my project is Disney Zentangle Journal Cover.

The art was of a mickey with

zentangles inside.It has a Disney Castle and Disney Princesses that surround it. The back cover

is a picture of Olaf with zentangle design “stripes” behind him. I used a couple different writing

(sharpies and pencils)implements to sketch,draw, and outline my designs. I was able to combine

a wide variety of designs and make them all work together in one piece. Some of the elements

that were included in my art that stood out to me were shape and space. The principles that stood

out to me were unity and contrast.

Even though I definitely had challenges of overthinking my front cover and not using good time

management, I was able to meet my goals, yet the original goals had changed a lot throughout

the process because some of my original ideas weren't always thought through enough. The

researching of zentangle ideas definitely provided inspiration for my piece. I don’t think

brainstorming worked the best for me, but I think it would have if I had made more reasonable

expectations for myself.

My inspiration for this piece was inspired by my love for disney and how I could use that love of

mine to show my uniqueness and creativity in a piece. I would have approached this project

differently by not having designed such a complicated idea and I would have tried to manage my

time better.
