Hello everyone today I get an assignment from my English teacher to describe about my

artwork by video yeah here we go.

ok here my art work under the title Midnight Curious,I choose this title because it match
with my art work, I made a simple pencil sketch. I sketch a girl who curious about what outside
in the midnight. I just using pencil than it”s just black n grey. I do pencil because I was very
comfortable exploring pencil techniques when I made this art work but actually I also using
brush and paper stump to made some shading there. And about theme i thing it was gloomy and
tense. I made it on my 4A sketch book.

About my art work I do sketch so I made a small research about it.

Sketches are drawings that are not usually intended as a final work. A sketch can have
several purposes: to record something the artist sees, record or develop an idea for later use, or it
can also be used as a short way of describing an image, idea, or principle. If we talk about
sketch, it was one of the oldest drawing technique. Sketches have exixted since time immemorial
even before writing was known. Caveman depict their daily activities with sketches on the cave
walls and we still can find it until now. Than the sketch improved time by time so just we know
today there are many art work basic the skech.

And about the inspiration, there are many thing which influence me when I made the art
work, I like to watch movie and anime with thriller, adventure, mystery genre. Read some horror
thriller mystery adventure comics and novels. They gimme many inspiration so I love those
genre too much. I like the way they make my heart beat faster and the way they make me curious
about the story line, they pull my adrenaline up. I love this feeling and they influence me to made
something which can make the people heart beat faster and feel the same sensation with me by
watching my art work.

Ok I’ll tell you about how I made my art work. First and always I prepare my tools and
materials. I take my 2B pencil, my eraser my brush and my sketch book. Than I made a circle of
windows frame than begin to made the outline of thr girl and the “thing” outside. I made a thin
outline to make sure I don’t make a false, cuz when I made some fals I still can erase it and don’t
leave some messy there.when I sure with the thin one than I thicken it step by step with the
pencil until I get the good one.

The outline was done, than I start to made the shadows using the brush and paper stump,
I swipe the outline until the shadow formed as my will. I do it until I get the best result.

I got some difficulties in making this art work, its difficult to difine the direction of the
shadows and to control the brush and paper stump.

After all I satisfied about the result and there are many friends also said that they satisfied
about it.
