Script (Panel wise)
Script 1: “BLACK MASK”

Panel 1: [Narration] In the city of MaURICK, Amalan leads a double life. By day, he is a dedicated martial arts teacher for
children. By night, he becomes a relentless savior of street dogs caught in the clutches of the cruel drug and meat trade.

Panel 2: [Amalan, wearing a humble martial arts uniform, stands before a group of enthusiastic children at the dojo. Their
determined faces reflect their eagerness to learn.]

Amalan: (Encouragingly) Focus your energy, channel your strength. You have the power to protect the weak and make a
difference.

Panel 3: [Narration] As the sun sets and darkness descends, Amalan's transformation begins.

He steps into the shadows, ready to confront the injustices that plague the city.

Panel 4: [Amalan, now disguised in a mask and dark clothing, navigates through dimly lit alleyways. His keen eyes scan
for any signs of suffering and distress.]

Script 2: “The Rising: The Battle for Hope"

Panel 1: The motion comic opens with a wide shot of a barren, post-apocalyptic landscape. Ruined buildings and scattered debris serve as reminders of
a world once vibrant. Narration: "In the aftermath of devastation, humanity struggles for survival.“

Panel 2: The camera zooms in on a group of weary survivors huddled around a flickering fire. Their eyes reflect a mix of determination and weariness.
Voiceover: "Factions have formed, each fighting for the scarce resources that remain.“

Panel 3: Carver, a resilient and charismatic protagonist, steps forward amidst the survivors. He addresses them, his voice carrying conviction.
Carver: "We can't allow Krodos to continue his reign of terror! We deserve equality and a chance at a better future!“

Panel 4: A montage of action shots showcases Krodos and his oppressive forces. They hoard resources and subject the weaker groups to discrimination
and hardship.
Voiceover: "Krodos, a ruthless tyrant, dominates the region, inflicting suffering on those deemed lesser.“

Panel 5: Carver, alongside a loyal group of rebels, organizes for battle. They train, strategize, and arm themselves, preparing for the inevitable clash.

Panel 7: Carver leads the charge, his voice echoing across the battlefield, inspiring courage within his comrades.
Carver: "Together, we stand against injustice! No longer shall we suffer under Krodos' rule!“

Panel 8: The rebels fight valiantly, unleashing their fury upon Krodos' forces. Explosions, melee combat, and ranged attacks intensify the action.
Voiceover: "A symphony of defiance resounds as the rebels push back against their oppressors.“

Panel 9: Carver confronts Krodos face-to-face. Their eyes meet, embodying a clash of ideologies and determination.
Carver: "Your reign ends now, Krodos! The people will be free!“

Panel 10: A climactic moment unfolds as Carver engages Krodos in a fierce duel, their words interwoven with combat.
Carver: "Your discrimination ends today!" Krodos: "You're a fool to challenge me, Carver!“

Process Flow

Note: From the available two scripts, the team will pick one to work on.

• Script Review and Panel Breakdown :


• Read and familiarize yourself with the script.
• Break down the script into individual panel descriptions, noting important details and actions.
• Thumbnail Sketches:
• Create quick thumbnail sketches for each panel to establish composition, layout, and flow.
• Explore different visual options and experiment with panel arrangements.
• Rough Pencils :
• Based on the approved thumbnail sketches, develop more detailed pencil drawings for each panel.
• Focus on capturing the characters' poses, expressions, and overall visual storytelling.
• Refinement and Feedback:
• Review the rough pencil drawings and make necessary adjustments and refinements.
• Seek feedback from Team & Mentor to incorporate any changes and refinement.
• Final Pencils :
• Use the refined rough pencils as a guide to create clean and precise final drawings.
• Pay attention to details, line work, and consistency across panels.
• Inking:
• Ink over the final pencil drawings to create bold, solid lines.
• Add shading, cross-hatching, and other inking techniques to enhance depth and texture.
DO’S AND DON’TS

Do’s
• Students can use any medium, such as pencil, charcoal, ink, or digital to do the sketching.
• Each panel size should be A4 (11.7 x 8.3 inches) (Landscape) on paper OR 1920/1080 (300 ppi) for Digital.
• The output should be submitted in PDF format in sequence of all panels. Submissions in any other format will not be accepted.
• Students can refer to an Image, Movie and refer to the style or content of any famous art form. Examples include, sculpture,
photograph, or painting, to name but a few.
• Sketchbook, Photoshop or any other drawing software can be used for digital sketching.
• Original artworks will be given preference.

Don’ts
• Students should not submit a downloaded image/Sketch. It should be his/her creation.
• Photoshop or any other image manipulation software should not be used to transform an image into a sketch. In such cases the
artwork will be disqualified.
• Sketches should not be colored.
Submission Guidelines (Phase 1)

• Submissions should be sent electronically.

• Date of Panel submission: 25th May 2023 on or before 6:30 pm GMT (Post that submission will be not
accepted)

• To submit the final comic panel students, have to upload their submissions through Google Drive link and share
that link at sandesh.Pawar@aptech.ac.in

• Folder Naming: 100HRS_TeamName_CountryName

• File naming: 100HRS_ScriptName_Panels.pdf

• All submissions must be received by the specified due date and time.
