from his manager’s office, although Allen does not want to get involved, he realizes that he must
say something to his manager, if the thief is not punished he will continue stealing. The thief
may steal from Allen’s friends or even from Allen himself, that kind trouble makes a work place
stressful, also if his manager does not know whom to blame, he might blame anyone for the
theft of his money. He might even blame Allen. Allen just not want to risk his job to protect
someone who steals money from other people, so he’s going to tell his manager today.

the office where she work and her car is very old and unreliable, as result she was often late to

environment because she was so stressed out from the commute, unfortunately this lead to
even more stress for her because her manager was very focused on being punctual, her
manager was making a note each time she was late to work. Last Friday, Beverly received an e-
mail from her manager saying she wanted to talk with her about her tardiness at a meeting in
her office later this afternoon.

 Staying patient can be very difficult. As a customer service representative it is part of my job to
be patient, but sometimes it is very challenging. Many times it seems if a customer is not
listening to me, because they ask the same question again and again. I have to do a better job in
responding to this questions with a smile on my face and positive thoughts in my head, I know I
can do this and I want to role play and practice with a friend so I can improve. I see there are
many representatives here, lots of experience who can handle all their challenging calls with a
smile. It seems nothing bothers them. I want to be able to do what they do.

important work e-mails which is embarrassing, her late responses are also upsetting to her boss.

he cannot. Instead, he stays awake thinking about his day and wondering if he made any

morning. Being tired makes focusing difficult for Benjamin, and causes him to make mistakes in

customers are happiest if their problems are solved correctly the first time. Nina also knows that
taking careful notes avoids having to ask customers to repeat themselves, which they do not like
to do. Nina’s co-workers have started to notice how successful she has become by taking notes
while on the phone, they have all decided to copy her and take notes as well.

 Dressing appropriately at work is very important, not only as complying with the dress code. A
critical part of following the rules, but it is also has a major effect on the ability of the office to
function. Workers who were not dressed appropriately created distraction to their co-workers in
2 ways. First, dressing in flashy or attention grabbing clothing puts attention on you and away
from important work tasks, the second way dress code violations to create problems, is in
worker morale. If one person is seen not following the rules, then everyone else will wonder
why they should have to follow the rules. This will cause major problems in the office. Being a
good co-worker, means following the rules to set a good example.
