to -45° angle holes featuring robust lifting dogs and a
safety pin for when handling the inner tube assembly
out of the hole.
Sandvik’s wireline core barrel now features a direct

mechanical “cam” latching system for increased
productivity. Its simple, three-piece design offers a
reliable, easy loading, free falling alternative to current
industry standards.

NOTE: The overshot is shipped with the release sleeve (item

11) attached to the assembly with the set screw, these must be
removed prior to normal operation.
A safety pin (item 19) is included with the overshot assembly and
can be used when handling the inner tube assembly out of the
hole. When inserted into the overshot head, it helps to prevent

the lifting dogs from releasing the spearhead point.
