Human Being’s Perspective on Environment


The way we pleasure our environment shows or defines by how we view for it.
Nowadays, environments were exploited. The forest has been cleared, soil is
washing away, the sea is being abused by flashing dynamites and air pollution is
spreading.
B. Human Being’s Approaches to Environment
 Utilitarianism
The utilitarianism is a moral theory first put forward by Jeremy Bentham in short
the underlying principle of utilitarianism is that an action is right it produces the greatest
good for the greatest number wherein whatever action benefits the most people is the
right action. For example; Jesus sacrifices his life to save people from sinner. So this
would possibly produce the greatest good for the greatest number.
 Natural Law Ethics
In natural law ethics, the reason is the source of the moral law; it directs us
towards the good. Which the good is the ultimate goal of a person’s action.
 Virtue Ethics Perspective
It’s an ethical system that focuses on the agent and not the action, it does not
tell you how to act rather it tells you what sort of person or character you should be.
Which is a person show some respect to people or anything surrounds on him/her. It
questions “What is the good?” a persons considered a virtue ethics if he/she honest,
courage, loyalty and integrity.
