Stripping of machine gun M87 Sequence of stripping of machine gun

described stripping of machine gun M87 only.

Machine gun M87 shall be stripped for cleaning, lubrication,

inspection, replacement and repair of parts and mechanisms.
Frequent unnecessary stripping of the machine gun accelerates
wear of the parts and mechanisms thereof.
Prior to stripping it is necessary to set a safety of machine gun
to safe position and make sure that there is no round in the feed
block slot or cartridge chamber,
During stripping and assembling of the machine gun, obey the
Fig. 5 Fig. 6
following rules:
- strip and assemble the machine gun on a table (or a clean rug), Raise the feed block fully (Fig. 6).

to the number provided on the trigger mechanism body.

Raise the ejector body together with ejector (Fig. 10) into
vertical position. To remove the bolt carrier with bolt: By means of the cocking
handle pull the bolt carrier into rear position and separate it
from the receiver by lifting up (Fig. 12).

To remove the recoil mechanism with buffer: lift the buffer
body behind the lug on the receiver, and separate the recoil Fig. 12
mechanism from the receiver (Fig. 11) Separate the cocking handle by pulling into rear position and
removing to the right (Fig. 13).

6
To remove the barrel from receiver: Pull the securing key handle
(Fig.14) to the right and bring the carrying handle into carrying
position. To achieve this it is necessary to press the button (Fig.
15) and pull the handle half-way down, then raise it, release
backward and block the handle lock; finally pull the handle
forward and separate the barrel from receiver (Fig.16).

7
Replacement of the parts (included in spare parts set)

Before stripping of the machine gun to replace parts, it is

needed to check if the machine gun is unloaded.

Spare barrel

The barrel is not allowd to be replaced if a round is in chamber

and if movable parts do not reach foremost position. In order
to keep hands from burning, use the carrying handle during re-
placement of overheated barrel.
To remove the barrel from receiver: Pull the securing key handle
to the right and bring the carrying handle into carrying position.
To achieve this it is necessary to press the button and pull the
handle half-way down, then raise it, release backward and block
the handle lock; finally pull the handle forward and separate the
barrel from receiver (Fig. 14 to Fig. 16)

Recoil spring and Buffer spring

Bring the cleaning rod with handle into vertical position and fit
the recoil mechanism onto it. Tighten the recoil spring from the Fig. 17
top and separate the securing ring from the front guide, sepa-
rate the recoil spring and front guide from the rear guide, and Ejector spring
finally separate the buffer spring.
Ejector serves to push the cartridge case along the bolt body
face surface after extraction from the cartridge chamber.
Ejector with its spring is fixed to the left-hand side of the receiver
by a pin. It has two spring-loaded arms: the front is used for car-
tridge case ejection and the rear one for engagement with the

bolt carrier moving into rear position. To separet spring from
ejector press the spring using drift (Fig. 18)

Cartridge case extractor, upper and lower and extractor
spring

Push bolt lock pin fully and release the right coupling (Fig. 19),
turn the bolt on the other coupling to the left, by means of the
punch drive the extractor / firing pin securing pin out supporting
the bolt and extractors by the hand, and separate the extractors
with springs from the bolt. (Fig. 20 to Fig. 22). Using the punch
drive the firing pin out of the bolt (Fig. 23), drive the cartridge case
retainer pin out supporting the bolt and cartridge case retainers
by the hand and separate the cartridge case retainers with springs. Fig. 22 Fig. 23

9
Feeding pawls spring

Stripping of feed block cover: Using the punch drive the guard
shaft out of engagement with the eyelet and move it aside, and
then separate the guard (Fig.24). Remove the feed port cover
previously driving its axle out and separating the cover from
the feed block cover.

spring; by means of the punch drive the front link retainer pins
out and separate the retainer from the cover; separate the feed
arm with coupling and link retainer from the shaft ; separate
the feed slide with feed pawls and spring; drive the feed pawls
shaft out and separate the feed pawls from the feed slide.

Spare parts of Coyote mount Replacement of buffer spring and cocking rope

To replace the buffer spring it is necessary to remove stock by

unscrewing nut as shown at Fig. 30

Fig. 30

After that unscrew nuts to change buffer spring (Fig. 31 and Fig
32)

To replace cocking rope unscrew its fixing nut as shown on Fig.
33 and after that replace cocking rope (Fig. 34). Length of cock-
ing rope adjust in that manner to enable undisturbed move-
ment of support in front positon by its recoil spring (Fig.35).
