PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION

P: With shouts of Alleluia at Christ's victory over death, let us pray for the church, the
world, and all those in need.

A brief silence.

L: Each petition concludes with “Hear us, O God,” and the congregational response is
“Your mercy is great.” Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

L: Give to the church the wisdom to discern your word. Guide us by your Spirit that we
might remain faithful in all that we say and do. Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

L: Nourish creation with streams of living water. Revive those regions that have
experienced natural disaster, that all may know of your saving mercy Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

L: Bring healing to the war-torn nations of the world. (We especially pray for Ukraine
and Somalia who suffer from war and destruction) Calm the hearts of those who live in
fear, that they might know the peace of Christ in their lives. Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

L: Grant healing and spiritual renewal to all who seek wholeness in their lives, those who
are sick, and those who feel hopeless, (especially Mady, Sharon Marie, Ted, Karen,
Joe, Carson, Linda, Dawn, and those we name before you allowed or in our hearts…
[pause]) that they may see the brightness of your glory. Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

L: Look with favor upon all who provide motherly care, that your unconditional love and
compassion may be revealed through them. Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.

Here other intercessions may be offered.

L: We remember with thanksgiving the faithful departed who have entered the New
Jerusalem. Comfort those who grieve until we are reunited in Christ at the river of life.
Hear us, O God,
C: Your mercy is great.
P: Merciful God, we commend to you all for whom we pray, for the sake of your
crucified and risen Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
C: Amen.
