Apple AirTag Tracker

New products that are anticipated fresh and improved by consumers in a

particular sector which could contribute to changes in their current utilization behavior is
called Innovation (Hoyer, et al., 2018). Apple Company is known for its technological
advancements in the modern world. This behemoth in the digital industry has asserted
its place for generations. The release of Apple AirTags started on April 30 this year, with
the aim of providing an established way in locating valuable items. It is a very
convenient accessory that could best help forgetful individuals. These AirTags are
considered Continuous Innovation since they do not provide a drastic effect on the
overall consumption behavior of the consumer.

Furthermore, it is limited to Apple users with iOS 14.5, which means that users
with non-upgraded devices could not best maximize this new product (Phelan, 2021).
Considering the existing market segment of the Apple Company and the feeling of
exclusivity it provides to its consumers because of its limitations, it leaves a meaning
about the consumer group’s participation. In a survey conducted by 9toMac (2021), six
out of ten Apple users have the intention of buying not just one, but multi-pack AirTags
since its release in April 2021. Despite the exclusivity of its usage, consumers continue
to patronize the newly released Apple product. AirTags is the chart-topping newly
released electronic product in Amazon and ranked third in the most numbered sales in
the electronic category in general (Huang, 2021). This manifests the strong adoption of
the consumers to this product innovation. Misplacing Keys and losing wallets are few of
our daily struggles as consumers. It is considered as part of our declining memory as
individuals as we grow old—it grows with us. Apple was successful in making the
population adapt to its new product launch.

In the long run, they should provide further product improvement that could cater
all Apple users for sustainability, and improved AirTags that could have bigger
diameters in locating missing items. They should also make this product available to all
Apple users for better consumer experience and increased sales.
