Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Degree Programme
(Academic Session: - 2022-2023)

Online applications are invited in the prescribed format from the interested candidates for
admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme (5½ years) for the Academic Session: 2022-2023 under
the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, W.B.U.A.F.S., Mohanpur campus, Nadia, West Bengal
through University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org).

The Admission schedule will be as follows:-


1. Online Forms available through website : 11.11.2022 to 25.11.2022 (11:59:59 P.M.)
2. Last date of submission of forms (Online) : 25.11.2022 (11:59:59 P.M.)
along with relevant documents
3. Publication of Provisional Merit list : 06.12.2022
4. Date of Seat Allotment, Counselling procedures, : To be notified in due course of time in the
Date of Physical Verification and Admission University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org)
5. Commencement of Classes

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme (2022-2023) :
1. Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 25 years as on 31st December of that year of admission.
There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 5 (five) years for SC/ST/OBC-A & OBC-B
candidates.
3. The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG-2022 conducted by NTA.
4. The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
5. The candidate must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher
Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/ Council
from any institution.
6. The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations from any recognized
Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with
individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in
regular class mode.
7. The candidate must obtain 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken
together for unreserved category and 47.5 % in case of reserved category candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for PwD Category Candidates-

(I) A candidate shall not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course if he/ she suffers the
following disabilities, namely—
(a) disability of total body including disability of chest or spine more than 50%,
(b) disability of lower limb of more than 50%,
(c) disability of upper limb,
(d) visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,
(e) candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.
(f) disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a veterinarian.

(II) The disability shall be certified by a duly constituted and Government authorized Medical Board
comprising of at least three specialists out of which two shall be of the specialty concerned and the
candidate has to present him or her-self before the Medical Board and the last valid disability certificate
of the candidate from a Medical Board shall not be more than three months old from the date of
submitting his or her certificate for disabled candidates.

Candidates will have to upload the scanned copies (colour) of their original documents as follows in
JPG/PDF format during online application. Failing to this the candidate will not be considered for
admission:
 Score/ Rank Card of NEET-UG-2022 conducted by NTA
 Domicile Certificate as per the prescribed format (Proforma a1 or a2 or b) as per guidelines of
Govt. of West Bengal. (Click here to download the Proforma). Domicile Certificate obtained from
the West Bengal e-district portal (https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/PACE) will also be accepted as the
proof of domicile.
 SC/ST/OBC-A/ OBC-B/PwD Certificate (wherever applicable)
 Secondary Examination Admit Card/ Birth Certificate as age proof
 Mark sheet of Secondary (Class-10) Examination
 Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination

General Instructions:-
1. The Provisional Merit List will be made as per NEET-UG-2022 Rank.
2. There is no application fee for this year.
3. In case of proforma b or e-district domicile of the parent is furnished, it is required to produce any
two of the following original ID proof (Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card, Passport) of the concerned
parent during the stage of document verification where the said ID cards show that the residential
address is in West Bengal.
4. The declaration on ragging must be given along with the application form in prescribed format at the
time of admission.
5. Only submission of online application does not constitute a right for admission and the decision of
the admission committee is full and final.
