SG
Designed to complement soil applied baseline nutrition, Foltec SG soluble granules
and Foltec liquids provide complete foliar nutrition with unique combinations of N,P,K,
secondary nutrients, micronutrients, and essential bio-enhancements.

Foltec SG is innovative foliar technology utilizing dry soluble granules that quickly
solubilize in the spray tank. Essential nutrients are combined with UltraMate SG (a
formulation of fulvic and humic acids exclusive to The Andersons) and sea plant extract to
deliver maximum plant health benefits.

Roots and root hairs extend through the soil and soil solution to take up plant nutrients.
Applications of Contec DG or SmartPhos DG quickly disperse into the soil and maximize
nutrient contact and uptake by roots. This enhances nutrient efficiency and provides
flexibility in application rates.

Turfgrass managers typically encounter both sand based/constructed growing systems

and native soils. Humic DG and Black Gypsum DG are designed to improve soil structure,
increase nutrient efficiency, and stimulate beneficial soil microbes. They are also effective
in reducing the negative impact of soil sodium and salts often associated with poor quality
irrigation water.

THE CARBON COMPONENT OF CONTEC DG

HOW DOES HUMIC ACID PRECURSOR WORK?
Humic acid precursor contains a soluble form of organic carbon which
releases into the soil as Contec DG granules disperse. Through biochemical
reactions in the soil, humic acid precursor is transformed into humic and
fulvic acids which help chelate nutrients in the soil. The optimum rate of
humic acid precursor is applied when Contec DG is applied at label rates.

SOLUBLE. SENSIBLE. SUPERB.

SOLUBLE

Foltec SG is an innovative foliar nutrient technology from The Andersons. Designed

to be different, Foltec SG will change the way superintendents and turf managers
think about complex foliar nutrition programs. Unlike industry standard liquid
fertilizers consisting of numerous formulations and packaged in cumbersome
plastic jugs, Foltec SG is a proprietary combination of dry Soluble Granules (SG)
that quickly solubilize in the spray tank. This combination of soluble granules
creates a complete nutrition product that reduces the need for a complex
tank mix using a wide variety of products. Each Foltec SG product contains
a specific N-P-K ratio along with essential micronutrients, UltraMate® SG and
sea plant extract.

Foltec SG is available in four formulations which have been shown to fit the
parameters of a typical foliar applied fertility program and include High N,
High P, High K, and High N and K formulations.

APPLICATION
Foltec SG can be introduced into the spray tank through an inductor, or by
removing the basket strainer and pouring Foltec SG directly into the spray tank,
with adequate water and agitation. In field testing with self-contained spray rigs with
typical agitation, Foltec SG solubilized quickly and thoroughly. Foltec SG products
have also been shown to be compatible with many commonly used control products.

18 PREMIUM NUTRITION
SENSIBLE

Foltec SG is innovative and is designed to be different than the standard liquid foliar fertility products in many sensible ways.

PACKAGING Foltec SG is packaged in resealable, foil-lined bags with easy-open tear strips to save time and effort
during mixing and loading. There are no plastic jugs to triple rinse and recycle.

COVERAGE Foltec SG N-P-K formulations are packaged based on application rate and coverage. A single 13.6 lb.
bag will cover 1 acre at the typical application rate. A case contains 3 x 13.6 lb. bags which will cover 3
acres. Please reference the coverage table on the next page for more detail.

STORAGE Because Foltec SG utilizes dry soluble granules, it will not freeze or
require heated storage and special handling requirements like liquid
formulations do. Foltec SG can be shipped at any time of the year
under all weather conditions.

COST Foltec SG is a combination of N-P-K, micronutrients, UltraMate SG and

sea plant extract, which provides complete nutrition and reduces the
EFFECTIVE need to create a complex tank mix using a variety of products. The
cost in use of Foltec SG (for a typical two week interval foliar spray
program) will be comparable to other mid-tier liquid industry standards
and can also be less expensive than many other competitors.

Q: How does humic acid affect nitrogen volatilization?
A: The high reactivity of humic acid retains the nitrogen
in the ammonium form, preventing it from volatilizing
to ammonia and not being utilized by the plant.

Q: Do humic acids influence phosphorus activity in the soil?

A: Yes, increased phosphorus availability has been
observed in academic studies. Humic acid impacts
both short-term and long-term phosphorus availability.

Black Gypsum DG granules are homogenous and combine natural gypsum and humic substances to form a unique
bio-amendment. DG Technology creates a dust-free, spherical, ultra-dry granule that rapidly disperses into thousands of
microparticles upon contact with moisture. These microparticles deliver calcium, sulfur, and carbon directly into the soil.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Fulvic Acid Humic Acid Humin Humic Acid Precursor

UltraMate LQ liquid humate is a sulfonated potassium formulation. It forms a complete solution when added directly to
liquid fertilizer, micronutrient, or pesticide formulations over a wide range of pH values. UltraMate LQ liquid humate is highly
compatible, allowing application methods which are unacceptable for conventional humic products, including tank mixing.
UltraMate LQ liquid humate allows turf to utilize applied N, P, and micronutrients more efficiently, reducing leaching and
improving soil structure.
