Fertiliser is a essential controlled commodity. It is controlled by FCO 1985

India is not self sufficient in Fertiliser production

At present fertilisers per ha. Consumption of India is 142 kg/ha

Fertiliser Allocation is done by central Gov. state wise , season wise and month wise
State Gov. controls the supply district wise and block wise Fertiliser quality is also controlled by State Gov. as per FCO

Fertilizer Products :A. Straight Fertilizers

The fertilizer containing single nutrient is called Straight fertilizer

1.Urea = 46:0:0 2.Single Super Phosphate = 0:16:0 3.MOP = 0:0:60 4.Triple SSP = 0:48:0

B. Compound / Complex Fertilizer: The fertilizer which are form by chemical reaction called compound/complex fertilizer The complex fertilizer content the nutrient in each granule as per the declaration on the bag There are less chances of adulteration or low grade contains The complex fertilizer are manufactured by chemical reaction .The are rare chances of fertilizer sample failure

Complex Fertilisers:1.DAP = 18:46:0 2.NPK = 10:26:26 3.NPK = 12:32:16 4.NPK = 15:15:15 5.NPK = 17:17:17 6.NPK= 19:19:19 7.NPK= 14:35:14 8.NPKS= 16:20:00:13 9.NP = 20:20:0 10.NPS= 20:20:0:13 11.NPKS = 13:33:0:6

C. Mixed Fertilizer: The fertilizers which are manufactured by mechanical mixing is called mixed fertilizers The mixed fertilizer does not confirm that each granule contains the nutrients as per the declaration on the bag. There are chances of poor quality adulteration More number of fertilizer samples are failed in mixed fertilizer

1.NPK = 18:18:10 2.NPK = 10:20:20 3.NPK= 20:10:10

D. Water soluble Fertilisers: Water soluble fertilizers are highly efficient fertilizers Water soluble fertilizers are dissolve 100% in the water The efficiency of water soluble fertilizer is 70- 100% Water soluble fertilizers are applied through drip irrigation spray Water soluble fertilizers are available in 1kg 25kg packing
