FEEDER SIDE CHECKING
14. Check the compressors winding resistance and insulation resistance. Values should be within the
limits.
15. Before taking the compressor in to service, clean the dust accumulated on the condenser coil.
16. Check the exhaust fan is there any abnormal sound and abnormal loads. If any abnormality
found, isolate it from the supply and check the fan motor winding and bearings.
17. Compressors AHU condenser coil should be inspected before taking the compressor in to
service. If and dust found clean the condenser coil with water.
18. Check the tightness of AHU blower belt. Any loose found intimate to MMD.
19. Keep the temperature sensor in clean condition; otherwise undesired tripping of the
compressor will occur on temperature error.
20. Ensure the healthiness of power contactor by checking the resistance of the coil and physical
position of contactor strips.
21. Clean the dust accumulated on the control chords of compressors and control wiring of chords.
22. Ensure no leakage of water into the power DB.
23. Ensure the tightness of power cable coming from the feeder.
24. Inspect the power TB’S for any damage. If any damage found replace it with new one.
25. Condenser coil inspection doors should be in closed condition.
SOP FOR PACKAGE A.C’S
1. Before taking the compressor in to service, ensure no alarm in relay(located at compressors
area)
2. Check the standing pressure of R-22 GAS (150 PSI).
3. Keep the 4 pole MCB in ON condition (at power DB in compressors area).
4. Switch ON the power supply at 3 meter. Compressors will come to running condition after 3
minutes.
5. Check the 3 phase voltages at both feeder side and at compressor side.
6. Take the load with clamp meter and ensure all the three phase currents are equal.
7. Check for any abnormal sound at compressor.
8. If unequal three phase currents are found keep the compressor in OFF condition, and check has
to be done for the problem.
9. Check the temperatures of power cable at both feeder side and compressor side. If any
abnormal cable temperatures found keep the compressors in OFF condition and inspect the
tightness of power cable at outgoing bus and at power contactor incoming and outgoing side.
10. Check the running pressure of R-22 GAS (SUCTION: 35-40 PSI & DISCHARGE: 200-250 PSI).
11. If running pressure is bellow these values then compressor will trip on gas low pressure.
12. If running pressure is above these values then compressor will trip on gas high pressure.
13. If compressor trip on gas low pressure, R-22 gas top up has to be done.
14. If compressor trip on gas high pressure, then clean the compressor condenser coil and AHU
condenser coil and check the working of expansion valve.
15. Keep the compressor in continuous observation in each shift.
