What is the liberty to start with?

Liberty is the ability to do as one pleases or a right or

immunity enjoyed by prescription or by the grant. But in the eyes of the public, Liberty is the
right of the public to be free. In short, liberty is the freedom of all human beings regardless of
religion, nation, skin colour, and et cetera. Nowadays liberty has sometimes been misused by
the public. Nevertheless, liberty is indeed a good thing that everyone should have inside their
souls. A spirit that burning inside every soul.
Liberty in society is needed either in as big as politics or as simple as a job. In politics, liberty
is given to the public to give an opinion about a certain thing whether it is as big as a
mountain or as small as an ant. This is because the government has given us the liberty to
speak about our opinion in politics itself so we as a public people and people who live in that
country will have a good and decent life. While at work, we have democracy. A way where
the people can give their opinion and speak out loud about it. This is also a way of liberty. It
is a liberty that was given to us, The worker by the employer. As a mother of fact, it also
helps the environment in the workplace to be much better both mentally and productivity.
In ancient times, slaves were brutally tortured by their employers or master who owned them.
To illustrate, Slaves were forced or sometimes voluntarily will do chattel slavery, bonded
labour, and forced labour in ancient Egypt. All of this for a piece of stale bread. If they are
not doing their work correctly, they will get painful slave beatings. This is all because of the
corruption of the government for not giving them a proper life as a citizen of that country.
Not only that, the employer does not give them proper needs as human beings. In ancient
Greek, the modern concept of political liberty has its origins in the Greek concepts of
freedom and slavery. To be free, to the Greeks, was not to have a master, to be independent
of a master. That was the original Greek concept of freedom. This was a statement from
Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers of the Greeks. What it means from the statement
from Aristotle is a slave needs to be free from their masters and be independent. That is
liberty in ancient times, Liberty is free from their master and being free
In the modern era, liberty is a completely different thing. In the modern era, slavery is
forbidden in most of part in the globe. This is because everyone can find a job, make their
own money and also provide for their needs and desire. Liberty in this era is more to be free
to do the right thing as a human being. In this case, liberty can be shown in right to privacy,
right to freedom of religion, right to freedom of speech and et cetera. But certain humans use
liberty incorrectly such as decriminalising people based on their appearance just because they
are looking like a barbarian. That is not giving an opinion or open speech but rather giving a
racist opinion out loud to them which can hurt their feeling. Liberty is to protect and give
people rights as civilized human beings.
There are countless ways people around the globe celebrate liberty as in the USA people their
independent day on the 4th of July as the mark they being free from the colonist, the British.
During the independent day, Americans will wear shirts with blue, red and white to represent
their flag. They also will watch the fireworks at night. In addition, Americans also have some
barbeque in their backyard and go to parades. Meanwhile, in Eastern Europe, a country name
Georgia celebrates its Independence Day on the 26th of May. Georgian celebrate that
important day to remember that they are free from the Russian empire. Russian empire ruled
Georgia until 1917 when the Russian empire had the Russian revolution.
In the past, many ways have people fought for liberty. For instance, our country. The Tanah
Melayu is a land of Malay people before it was called Malaysia. For more Than one hundred
years we have been fighting with the Dutch, Portuguese, British, and Japanese. Numerous
people die just to give independence to our country. Not only that, but Korea also is going
through the same journey. Joseon dynasty was influenced by Mongolia trying to conquer it.
After that Joseon was upgraded to the Empire of Korea soon to be colonized by Japan. Japan
conquer Korea making the people suffer greatly. Not only that the woman was manipulated
to be a comfort woman. A woman who became a sex slave to the Japanese army. This issue
still leaves an impression on both countries Japan and Korea even after years of war have
ended. The Korean army fought with the Japanese army with all they have just to give
independence.
All in all, liberty is indeed something that every country around the globe has to have to be a
prosperous country. Every national leader needs to work harder and more diligently but more
importantly, do it without corruption. Significantly corruption is a shortcut to lead something
to destruction. With a country growing rapidly, an advanced population and last but not least
economy that become more advanced than ever is a good sign that a country is certainly
prosperous. To become a flourishing country, the citizen needs to work together regardless of
nation, age and gender for the reason that we live in the same country. After all, the earth is
stepped on, and the sky is upheld. That is what makes us a numerous notion in one country,
the next generation that will keep our country independent and conquer territory better for a
long time.
