CHAKASABADO
In the province the Espinar,in the month of February 14th, the activity of the
chakasabado, which has existed for many years, takes place.
This festivity has the purpose of revaluing our kana culture, with the practice of
traditional dances, for example: the tupay, cacharpariy and queswa. Also in this festivity
typical food of Espinar is prepared, the best known are the "lechon de cordero" and the
lamb broth.
In this festival people from different districts of the province of Espinar participate,
dancing the best dancers.
The villagers practice the carnival with water, powder and cerpentina.
