INTRO: Good evening and welcome to WSDL 90.7 FM DelmarvaPublicMedia.org.

I’m your host Angela Semig bringing you a brand new music discovery show --
On the Download. With over 60,000 new music releases every day, it’s easy to
miss what could be your new favorite songs. I’m here to show you what you’re
missing, and you can decide to share with your friends, or keep it On the
Download.
We’re gonna start it off with a band from my home state, Michigander, and later
on we’ll hear from bands including The Arcs, Young The Giant, and Wet Leg.

SS1: You’re listening to WSDL 90.7 FM Delmarva Public Media.

I’m Angela Semig and this is On the Download. We started with Superglue by
Michigander from their new EP “It will never be the same” out on March 31st.
Following up was the new single from Geese, Cowboy Nudes. Frontman
Cameron Winter stated “The song is about life getting better, and more fun, after
the end of the world.” Next, we listened to Night Glitter’s first single of the year,
Magic Eyes, with more songs teased to come out later this year. Wrapping up this
first set was Mui Zyu with a song from their debut LP, Ghost With a Peach Skin.
Next up we’ll hear River, by The Arcs from their first album after eight
years, Electrophonic Chronic. This album is dedicated to their late bandmate,
Richard Swift, who passed during its creation. The soulful, slow dance inspired,
track feels that much heavier with knowing how much this album means to the
band, and hopefully will touch you too.

SS2: You’re listening to On the Download on WSDL 90.7 FM Delmarva Public Media.
I’m Angela Semig and we started this second set with River by The Arcs,
followed by All That We Could Need from Volores’ debut album, “Ages”. This
album explores the deep subjects of life, death, and love – emphasizing the
importance of togetherness through times of hardship. Samia picked us up a bit
with her new album, Honey, which already has 400k streams. Weyes Blood kept
it real with Grapevine from her album “And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow.”
Catch her on tour with Beck & Phoenix later this year, and get ready to “Wake
up” with Young The Giant coming up next On the Download on WSDL 90.7 FM
or stream on DelmarvaPublicMedia.org.

SS3: This is On the Download on WSDL 90.7 FM Delmarva Public Media.

I’m Angela Semig and we heard Wake Up from Young The Giant’s latest album,
American Bollywood. After that, listened to Wild Child’s title track from their
newest single, “End of the World”. The full album is set to release on March 31st,
and is based on the impacts of recent world events while keeping in mind that the
support and connection with friends and family will always make things better.
Wet Leg followed up with Angelica from their self-titled album. This British
musical duo formed in 2019 and is now nominated for 5 Grammys including Best
New Artist and Best Alt Album. We ended that set with CMAT’s infectious new
single, Mayday. You may have heard of CMAT from her 2022 Album, If My
Wife New I’d Be Dead with songs like I Don’t Really Care for You and I Wanna
Be a Cowboy, Baby!
Let’s finish off this episode of On the Download with another seventeen by
Florence Road – an up and coming band from Ireland who just released their first
single in October. Remember, I’m here to help you find your new favorite songs
that you might’ve missed in the sea of new releases, which you can share, or keep
On the Download.
