REACTION Dengue Fever is caused by a virus. The article is alarming due to the fact that is one of the 3 leading cause of death in Asia. In the Media, the top regions in the Philippines are metro manila, region 1 and region IX. The increasing rate was said to be awakening to DOH to improve their strategy on how to deal with Dengue Fever. The early detection and treatment of cases should be done properly in order not prolonged the client in the hospital. I agree to the article that the prevention should start at home and personal hygiene. If the client experiences sudden fever it should immediately consult the physician and not just taken for granted. Client should have good compliance like no dark color foods for right assessment and avoid altered results. The health department of the Philippines have done its best efforts and ways to reduce a dengue outbreak that happens yearly, through spreading awareness among those who are most vulnerable to this disease and the slum or scatters areas in the Philippines, where this originated from

and how to control the mosquito carrying dengue disease from laying eggs and multiplying the dengue disease it carries within the archipelago. In Davao City, Paquibato District was greatly affected because of the increased rate of Dengue Fever. I agree to the article that the best line of defense should be done appropriately in order to prevent dengue fever. The community is a big part of the policy and the 4o clock habit that was DOH promoted. Now a day s people should be aware, get involve and participate to stop spread the virus. Prevention is better than cure.
