if you do not understand what the other person is saying then avoid "what".

these
words can make the other person feel less respected. therefore we should use a good
and correct word or sentence.

Untuk lebih sopan dan menghargai orang lain dalam meminta klarifikasi oatau
pengulangan , ketika kita tidak mengerti dengan apa yang orang tersebut katakan
mungkin karena situasi sekitar yang berisik , kita tidak fokus pada perkataannya ,
orang tersebut berbicara terlalu cepat dan lain lain jadi kita seharusnya menghidari
kata ‘what’ atau ‘huh’ terutama terhadap orang yang baru kita kenal atau kepada
orang yang lebih tua karena itu bisa membuat mereka merasa tidak dihormati tetapi
kita masi bisa menggunkannya hanya kepada orang terdekat atau teman yang sudah
lama kita kenal.

To be more polite and respectful of others in asking for

clarification or repetition, when we don't understand what the
person is saying maybe because of the noisy surroundings, we don't
focus on what the person is saying, the person is talking too fast etc.

So we should avoid the word 'what' or 'huh' especially to

people who have just met or to older people because it can make
them feel disrespected but we can still use it only to the closest people
or friends we have known for a long time.
Tips asking Clarification and Reptition

1. Don’t forget to say “please”

One of the reasons why when asking for clarification sometimes it sounds like
being demanding is for not saying "please". Make sure we add this very important
word in certain sentences when making requests, and also use the use of the verb as
will, would and could make it more polite.

For example, “Repeat the question” doesn’t sound nearly as polite and respectful
as “Could you repeat the question, please?”
 2. Admit you need clarification or repetition

Admitting you need more information, simply state that you don’t
understand.that's easier for the person you ask.

3. Be specific

If there’s a specific thing that’s unclear to you, just say it which parth.
