HEART ATTACK GRILL- A RESTAURANT THAT PROMOTES OBESITY

Hello UAE, you are listening to Carol from MAHE, and I’ve got a calorieful story to tell
you. It’s already the second day of new year, a very big happy 2022 you all. Hope
you’ve had a crazy new year bash with your loved ones and probably went on a food
coma while giving a treat to your tummy. Ah! the treat, yes that reminds me of the
delicious yet a huge junk of calorie meal that I had at Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas.
As the name suggests, it’s a restaurant where you get high calorie meals like the
burgers that count upto 20,000 calories! and meaty fries that’s upto 385 kcal filled
with lard, Isn’t that insane?

This restaurant chain makes a point of serving food that is very unhealthy and high
in fat, sugar, and cholesterol; in other words, food that, if eaten frequently, will
increase the chance of a heart attack, hence the name. Customers that weigh over
350 lb gets to have a free meal. There was a weighing machine right outside the
restaurant that shows how many pounds you weigh.

I weighed myself and it showed around 148 lbs, I went inside the restaurant and it
seemed aesthetically pleasing, it had a hospital themed ambience, A waiter who was
dressed as a doctor with a stethoscope around his neck showed me a huge menu
board that was placed on the wall, whereas the waitresses were dressed as nurses
taking orders on a prescription note.

Their menu is generally themed around items that are exceptionally high in calories
and fat. It includes "Single", "Double", "Triple", "Quadruple", all the way up to
"Octuple Bypass" hamburgers. They took me in and made me wear those long hospital
gown worn by patients at hospital. In fact, every customer in that restaurant donned
a hospital gown; sounds weird isn’t it?

Also, it’s said that if we don’t finish off the ordered meal, then you’ll have to be
prepared to get spanked on your back by the nurse. So always make sure you order a
meal that’s adequate for you. The waitress had me seated at a comfort spot and
served an I V bag filled with red wine where I could sip in the wine through that thin
tube attached to the IV bag.

I ordered a “Triple Bypass Hamburger” and the “Chilly Meaty Fries” and Oh my God!
the food was finger licking good, the layers of meat and the buns of the hamburger
were arranged in stacks filled with melted cheese and mayonnaise dripping out. The
chilly meaty fries were too spicy but the layers of cheese on the fries saves your
tastebuds from melting. The whole junkies were so filling that I couldn’t finish it all
and my hands and legs were becoming numb. I was feeling dizzy after having those
huge amounts of calorie meal and I could feel my stomach bloating out. So I gave up
and paid the bill and got spanked by the nurse, ouch! but she was too nice to give me
a warm hug after the spank.

I wouldn’t deny the fact that the restaurant promotes obesity. The owners really
aren’t doing any wrong. You’re not being forced to visit this restaurant. Its all in the
name. This restaurant isn’t trying to hide its unhealthy-ness like other fast food chains
do. You know what’s coming when you eat here. It’s all in the name. They straight up
tell you that “you will die”. Therefore, the market strategy of this restaurant is quite
clear and does not hide anything from its customers by sugarcoating the truth. It
shows what it is.

So that’s how I spent my New Year before I could actually follow my new year
resolution of dropping down few pounds before the first day of January. All the best
to you all including me who is on a weight loss spree. If you’ve liked this show then
please give it a thumbs up, follow and share. You can get in touch with me at
