4.0 Literature Review: -

Logic gates are the basic building blocks of any digital system. It is an electronic circuit
having one or more than one input and only one output. The relationship between the
input and the output is based on a certain logic. Based on this, logic gates are named as
AND gate, OR gate,
YouTube videos were recommended for creating the circuit diagram.
• The overall idea of this project was taken in consideration of the teacher’s
remarks and was well implemented.
• Different websites were also required for gathering of information, some
of them are as follows: -

1. www.globalspec.com
2. www.circuits-diy.com
3. www.learningaboutelectronics.com 4.

Given below is a piece of information which was referred to make a word document
from one of the above listed websites i.e., www.globalspec.com

Ideas on how to make a circuit diagram (rough sketch), components required,

etc.

Different YouTube channels (YouTube videos that were helpful) for the
procedure of building a chart of logical gates

6.1 Actual Methodology Followed (Write step wise work done, data
collected and its analysis (if any). The contribution of individual
member may also be noted.)

This micro-project is based on the circuit diagram of an Logical gates

The methodology followed by students is as follows:

• Firstly, the topic for the micro-project was decided.

• Information was gathered from the different websites mentioned above in

the literature review.
• The different main components (required to make a model of the logical
gates ) are given below:

1. Diode: A diode is a semiconductor device that acts as a one-way switch

for current. It allows current to flow easily in one direction but severely
restricts current from flowing in the opposite direction.

2. Transistor: Using a transistor to boost the weak current solves the

problem. By placing a transistor between the resistor-capacitor
combination and the LED-resistor combination, we can jack up the
current so that the lights glow brightly.

3. Resistor: The resistors increase the current draw of the turn signals when
using LEDs, and the stock flasher can function as intended. The
installation is easy, and the resistors come with crimp taps, so in theory
you should not have to cut any wires

Modifications, (if any), were done and submitted.

9.0 Applications of this micro project: -

A logic gate is a simple switching circuit that determines whether an input pulse
can pass through to the output in digital circuits.

• They are found in circuits used as indicators and controllers, as well as in

home-built projects.
• It is useful for warming devices or as a source for square wave generation.
