“Your bank alert is closer to your mouth
than to your hands!”

Every day you speak, you should get paid!

Did you know that speaking is quite different from talking? Yes, I will repeat that, I said
speaking is quite different from talking. You might wonder what could be the difference.
Well, I will tell you. You talk for leisure, but when you speak, your words should be
laced with value and grace which should be a money magnet, attracting funds into your
bank account whether you are a teacher, coach, trainer, religious leader, consultant,
mentor etc, your mouth should generate wealth for you.
Now to the BIG question, how would you speak confidently and attract paying clients?
If this is your worry, you need to quickly settle down and read this short piece in your
hand right now.
STEP ONE
Deal with the fear

T
his should be your starting point. If you do not deal with this monster called
“FEAR” of public speaking, it will hold you back and you aren’t going anywhere
with your money-making machine (your mouth) which is actually regulated by
your speeches.
People who fear public speaking may have a real fear of being embarrassed or
rejected. Have you seen someone being embarrassed while speaking or felt
embarrassed yourself while speaking? Glossophobia as it is popularly called is the fear
of public speaking; it is a very common type of phobia and one that is believed to
affect up to 75% of the human population.
Some people might feel nervous, have
an increased perspiration, increased
blood pressure, feeling of nausea, panic
or anxiety. The calming news is that
every great speaker you’ve ever
known has felt some form of fear at
one time or the other especially when
the topic they are to speak about is new
to them or they are not familiar with the
audience or the environment or
platform.
So, relax; Mark Twain said, “there are two
types of speakers: those that are nervous and
those that are liars”. What this means is
that speakers would either feel nervous
which is a natural feeling and if they
say they never felt
nervous then they are liars. This should comfort you.
When you see those great presentations by speakers they must have practiced severally
to overcome the challenges that brings about fear and that is what I would love to help
you address in this book.
Some of the causes of fear of public speaking are:
1. Not prepared enough
2. Not sure about the topic
3. Not sure about the responses from the audience
4. Fear of not speaking well
5. Worried that their words might not make sense
6. Worried that too many eyes will be looking at them at the same time
7. Worried about what the audience might be thinking while you are speaking
8. Worried about going off point
9. Worried about forgetting what was planned to say in the middle of the speech
10. Feeling overwhelmed when asked to make speeches or deliver
presentation,
Could any of this be your challenge?
What if we turn all these FEARS to FUEL.
What if we imagine that these fears are acting as barriers to stopping you from
getting the message out. Your message could be a lifeline of hope to one person
who desperately needs to survive. Wouldn’t you try to despite the fear still speak out
for that person to be saved? That is exactly the essence of this book.
If properly utilized, these few tips would help to overcome the initial fear and bounce
back to owning your voice and using it to give hope, life and support to millions
around the world and also assist in carving your speech into products to make
money and a name for yourself.
Let’s roll.
Do you have a compelling story? Any story you witnessed, experienced or know
about, that changed or moved you? Any part of it that got you curious and asking for
more explanation or gave a new perspective to what you used to do before or how you
used to see things before? Believe me when I say, if it could transform you, then it can
transform millions who will listen to you speak.
Your story, your struggle, your challenges, how you overcame them- these are enough
to share with others. Get your story together. Document every single detail and share
with someone close to you like your brother, sister, spouse, close associate, a coach like
me, to get feedback from a trusted person, so you get the first reaction to your story.
If they react to it in anyway other than great, don’t worry, they do not represent
the billions of people around the world. They only represent a tiny fraction of those
who might read it; but if you are truly persuaded that your story is valuable to people
in a particular niche, then it is good to be told. Your duty now is to look for the person
that believes in your story.
If they find value in it, then that is a good sign that the world needs to hear it too. If
they feel that some parts of that story can be modified then good for you, you have
someone who is already giving you the first review before you get it out to the world.
Remember, sharing your story makes you an expert in that subject matter, it reinforces
your personal brand, it makes you more visible, it increases trust, clarity and
transparency.
STEP TWO

Look for a coach.

I
belong to an International Speaking Organization, that conducts World
Speaking Contests yearly and what I have come to realize from almost all
the World Champions of Public speaking is that they all had coaches. It’s
the easiest way to achieve your amazing goals as a public speaker. You can read all
the Public speaking best seller books in the world, you can watch so many YouTube
videos on Public speaking, in fact it can be overwhelming but there is a secret to
achieving the most effective outcome - that is for you to engage a coach. A public
speaking coach is someone who listens to your exact public speaking needs and
shows you step by step how you can achieve them, preparing you for the huge task
ahead.

Mark Twain said: “if you want me to give you a two-hour presentation, I am ready today.
If you want only a five-minute speech, it will take me two weeks to prepare.”
Coaches are usually paid to ensure you get the exact results you seek. I suggest you get
one immediately, if you are looking for one you could just check the last page of this e-
book for someone who will take you from where you currently are to where you want
to be in the shortest time.

A friend of mine once shared with me the cost of hiring coaches. It rose to
millions of naira, she said she wept when she had to make those payments. After
completing her various coaching session on strategy and eliminating mindblocks, she
has witten over 7 books and has a lot of resources which rakes in millions weekly. She
told me her coach told her to raise her fee but she was so scared to raise it. Nevertheless,
she trusted her coach’s advice and did it and to her utmost surprise her first client paid
an amount that covered the whole coaching fee she had paid when she began.
The coach convinced her that what she was offering was very valuable and people
would pay to learn it no matter how expensive it seems. If they agreed to her high price
then that is good feedback but that if they reject her offer she should move on to another
client.

From that singular experience all limitations were shattered because she had a coach
who had passed through this and was able show her the possibilities that she never knew
existed and pushed her to achieve them.

Just imagine engaging a Public Speaking Coach who would ensure you achieve all the
public speaking goals that you ever imagined that you could achieve and get you paid
huge bucks for just sharing your story, wouldn’t that be brilliant.

Definitely!
So, let the coach be your accountability partner, your ruthless executor.
STEP THREE

Find out what problems or pain people are always seeking solutions for, look
for their pain points and ways to take them out of those holes of pain.

I
have come to realize that it is not all speeches that people love to listen to. You
need to carry out a survey and find out what naughty issue people are constantly
looking on to coaches and counsellors for.
You can search online to find out frequently asked questions people seek solutions to.
Once you find the problem, start to look for the solutions immediately. Be a master
of that. Be so good at the solutions you provide that you become a household name in
that particular area.

For instance, from my profile you will see that I have carved a niche for myself since
2019 till date whereby I have been focusing on the communication needs of children.
My highest engagements come from parents who seek solutions to their children’s needs,
either in terms of building their children’s confidence, overcoming stage fright,
presentation skills, speech writing, speech evaluation and global platforms. I and the
children have been invited severally to speak on various radio and television stations
here in Nigeria like WE FM, Hot FM, Rhythm FM, Wazobia FM, Cool FM, Radio
Nigeria, Nigeria Info and Nigerian Customs FM. I hosted a TEDx kids event in 2021-
TEDxKids@Mbora, where young children from 8years to young adults shared their
ideas with millions of people. That singular act has opened doors for me to work with
so many schools because there is a credibility attached to hosting and training TEDx
kids’ speakers.

I now organize TEDx events in schools to bring it closer to them. I believe for a child
or young adult to speak at a TEDx event that child must have all it takes to be on any
other global platform.
STEP FOUR
Start speaking!

S tart small. Start from where you are, to those you know, with the message you
have. Just start now.
Look for small platforms where you can share your stories and get the reactions
and reviews of people. These are called feedbacks and they are very powerful tools in
your journey to becoming a masterful speaker. These people would give you heartfelt
feedbacks so you know what to stop doing, what to continue doing and what to modify.
Start speaking for free, observe and get the feedback from the listeners.
You need to know that your story is an asset, your story is very powerful, your story is
unique to you. I understand your fears, you might be wondering, “how I can share this
experience with the world?” with many other questions on your mind.
STEP FIVE
Your Story Can Sell!

F irst, I want to assure you that your story is yours to own. No matter the
heartbreak, highpoints or low points you’ve experienced, it is valid. Also note
that there is actually nothing new under the sun but that you experienced it too
in such a way that only you can share is what is newsworthy, so share it and you will be
amazed how your experience can transform someone’s life and they will pay you in
exchange for the impact and change you brought to them through your story.
News always sells!
Let’s dive straight into this piece of money generation secrets.
Did you know that storytelling and public speaking go hand in hand? Stories draw your
audience in and keeps them glued to you as you render your speech. That is the ultimate
goal of every speaker, to grab the attention of listeners and keep them glued to you
while presenting.
What is that thing that you hold so close to your heart that you struggle with so much
and think that it should just go with you to the grave. Do you know that you sharing it
can actually help many people in similar situations to start speaking out? You are a role
model to many, whether you believe it or not. Many people will be blessed by reading
or listening to you.
So, speak out to save those who need your story to become better, wiser and most
importantly, do it as a gift to humanity and definitely the rewards would come rushing
into your bank account.

Let me share with you the power of sharing your story, do you know the name of a
renowned speaker who always talks about how he and his twin brother were adopted
and how he was called mentally retarded and how he got lots of rejections while being
a sales man, but he didn’t give up nor let that get to him because he always thought
about his mum…… I guess you said Les Brown. You are absolutely correct.
Do you know Les Brown, the famous motivational speaker whose net worth in 2021
was estimated to be $12million? He rose to stardom because of his speeches. In 1986,
this motivational speakers’ career started and after just 4 years of doing it, he became
one of the highest paid motivational speakers in the world.
We also have a female speaker who was mentored by Les Brown, her name is Lisa
Nichols. She also rose to stardom by sharing her story over twenty years ago. Lisa was a
single mother dependent on public assistance and jumping from one dead end job to
the next, determined to break out of the defeatist mindset, negative behaviors and bad
habits that were holding her back from success, now she is a 7x New York times best-
selling author , transformational speaker, trainer and still sticks to your memory about
a woman who could not afford to buy a diaper for her son, but had to promise herself
that she would do everything to ensure her son does not follow the path of his father
who was in prison and how she asked for social support to feed her son.
Lisa Nichols on her LinkedIn page shared how storytelling can be an incredible path to
revenue, stability and success and I could not agree less with her.
Stories sell, especially when they are well crafted, they just draw the listeners in and
glued to you as the speaker until you get to the end and sometimes they ask for more.
Now, look at these amazing speakers, look at their stories, did they start out sharing
fantastic stories? No!!! But did they share their truth? Yes indeed.

You should seek to connect with your audience and leave them thinking about you so
dearly and feeling your story.
Who would it serve if you do not share your story and someone close to you gives a
wrong and false narration of what happened to you. Don’t you think it will be better
to set the records straight.
I am sure these are some reasons why you do not want to share your stories.
1. It is bad or embarrassing.
2. Nobody should know that this is my experience
3. I will start being looked at in a bad way
4. It will embarrass those who respect me
5. I will lose my achievements
6. It is too good and it will attract envy
7. Afraid of being criticized or laughed at.

For goodness sake! Can you just live and stop trying to process everything on people’s
minds.

Now I will like to share with you why it is important to share your story.
Sharing your story makes you look like the expert in that subject matter, it reinforces
your personal brand, it makes you more visible, it increases trust, clarity and
transparency.
Okay, you can actually add to the series of points listed here.

From the speakers I spoke about their truth got them credibility, trust, empathy,
sympathy, likeness, yearning for more from them. That is what I want you to learn and
that is why I want to hold you by thehand to start sharing unapologetically- unashamed
of your truth. Let it be heard from your mouth first. There are various ways to craft
your message but you should know by now that keeping your message to yourself
and your family has not made you wealthy, because they were with you when it
happened anyways, so why don’t you trust me to help you get it out to the world where
they need to hear you desperately.
Can you trust me with this?
Let’s go deeper.
Now that you have seen how important it is to share your story, you need to work on
your grammar, your diction, your appearance, your knowledge about the subject
matter. Remember, knowledge boosts confidence. This is what sets you apart as a
highly paid speaker. You cannot afford to falter. A beautifully rendered speech is
always lovely to listen to, so if you struggle to speak clearly, pronounce words well
or with a good diction, you would not be called to speak on platforms. One poorly
delivered speech can ruin your career forever because words go out very fast. I have
received lots of invitations just because people know I am a Distinguished
Toastmaster, with certifications in Public Speaking and Leadership.
STEP SIX

Know Your Story Is Valid

W ear your story like a badge. Do you know the famous Lisa Nichols became
the most listened to speaker on the movie, titled THE SECRET because she
shared her story of being a single mother dependent on public assistance
and not being able to take care of her only child?
Her story was what got her on various speaking platforms. That story was so touching,
she shared her story on that platform and millions of people connected with her
because many women had been in that situation before.
Michelle Obama, Barrack Obama, Les Brown, Fela Durotoye, all used the power of
words to motivate, inspire, coach and attract millions into their bank accounts.
You just have to be authentic. Do not try to imitate anyone. I have heard many people
say that they admired many speakers and would even spend hours watching and
listening to those speakers but when they get to the stage to present they realize that
their audience do not connect with them. Infact, one of my mentors, Fela Durotoye
said that he watched Myles Munroe’s videos severally and was already speaking like
him before he went to deliver a speech. He said there was no connection between
him and his audience because he sounded fake. His dear friend, who knew him very
well, walked up to him and whispered to him that he did not sound like the Fela he
knew, and the audience who took their time to attend were getting bored and advised
him to be himself. This is what I want to advise you reading this book to do also.
You are unique. You need to know that there are various kinds of speakers. We have
the energetic speakers, the loud speaking speakers, the soft spoken speakers, just be
yourself. Try to get feedback from your coach, if you don’t have one yet, I would be
delighted to coach you to help you find out areas where you can improve upon. Go
to my website (www.danikalconsults.com) to find out the various packages that
could help you.
People will pay to attend events where speakers are authentic, known, liked and
trusted. When people discover that you are a phony, they immediately lose trust and
that is so expensive for a speaker.
Remember, sharing your story makes you an expert in that subject matter, it
reinforces your personal brand, it makes you more visible, it increases trust, clarity
and transparency.
. STEP SEVEN

Be Vulnerable

Listeners are not in search of the perfect; they are in need of the real. And this
genuineness is provided by being vulnerable. Vulnerability is a secret weapon that
can be used every time to pull your audience in. It goes to the heart of your
listeners.

Once you can connect with their emotions, you can get into their pockets. The more
people you can connect with emotionally the more pockets will open up for you.
If you want your story to sell you have to share stories that will resonate with people
and meet them at the point of their needs. It might look like an embarrassing piece of
information or you might feel that you are giving out too
much information, kindly know that there is nothing new under the sun.
It could sound ridiculous, incredible or shameful, just know that you allowing yourself
to be vulnerable by sharing your truth, you automatically give people in a similar position
permission to come out to do the same and they will never forget. They will refer
other people with similar problems to you and those will be your advocates and
marketers. You would not need to spend so much for advertisement. The way you
made them feel while they left your presence will forever be on their minds.
STEP EIGHT

Connect to the heart of your listeners.

T
here is a great difference in response to you when you speak from your head
and when you speak from your heart. People feel your sincerity when you speak
from your heart.
There is this burst of energy when you speak from your heart, it just flows, you do
not stutter because you are not thinking of the next thing to say, what you want to
say is already coming from the reservoir of knowledge.
People listening can sense when you are speaking from your heart, your eyes light
up, you are more relaxed, not bothered about any perfection and your thoughts just
flow.
People call me a great story teller because before I go to speak at any event I research
about the audience and try to find out what their concerns or needs are and try to
craft stories that lead to the answers. When I am speaking I look into the eyes of my
audience and try to connect with their inner feelings and draw them in with my
words.
When you do this so often, you will be admired and referred to for more speeches.
That is more money in your bank account. Don’t try to be perfect just be real and
everyone will love you for it.
STEP NINE

Turn your stories into distributable resources.

Y
ou cannot be everywhere speaking at the same time to various audiences but
you can convert your speeches into books, audio books, podcasts, digital
resources.

That is how to scale up and multiply your value to millions of people at the same time
around the world. Learn to create digital products or convert your speech into books
that can be distributed all around the world.

Did you know that only 1% of the world’s population ever publishes a book?

There are benefits you derive from converting your speeches into books (printed
copies or e-books) but do well to know that the benefits are not limited to the ones
I would be exposing you to. Below are some of them;

Writing in its nature is a thoughtful activity. The entire process of writing a book
to completion will make you think critically on your thoughts, enabling you gain
perspective on what really should matter to you.
Dedicating your time to write a book to completion makes you aware of your
willpower. It takes discipline to stay committed to starting a writing work and to
finishing it.

In time past, getting publishing deals was far-fetched, as you had to spend a lot to
get your book in print. But times have changed for good. Self-publishing is now
possible, you can write your story and become a published writer and sell several
copies of your book, either as e-books or printed copies.

Now after completion and publishing your book you start earning as people
purchase copies of your book. You can only get these far if you are dedicated and
become disciplined to write and publish your true story.

It is up to you to decide to make your book(s) your main source of income or a

passive source. You could combine it with speaking gigs to earn more for yourself.
Above all these benefits, the most important one is the feeling of self-
accomplishment. It is our choice to decide how we spend our time in life and what
memories we decide to leave for our loved ones and others to enjoy when we
leave. This is an opportunity to make such memories happen.
STEP TEN

BE REMARKABLE

W
hen you are invited to speak on any platform, ensure you are remarkable.
Don’t just go out to speak, go out there to win the hearts of all those who
are listening to you. There are speakers, and there are speakers who
are unforgettable. You should learn to be that one, who speaks and listeners go all out
to.
Leave that lasting positive impression. Go all out to inspire, educate, entertain, persuade
and be unforgettable.

I believe these 10 steps would guide you if you want to master this quickly. However,
you need to join the Transformational Speakers Certification Course.
It is a 3 day intensive workshop and where we will give you the training, tools and
coaching to deliver your message to other people who are also on the same journey
with you.

You will have a safe platform to make your mistakes and get positive feedback.
