Differences between UCS and WCS

UCS-USER COORDINATESYSTEM

WCS-WORLD COOODINATE SYSTEM

UCS –is the system in which you are working by default, it is located to coincide with the WCS but it can
be moved .

WCS-this is the internal high accuracy (10 digit) and absolute coordinate system.

PAN AND ZOOM

PAN- is to hold down the mouse wheel as you move the mouse around the drawing.

ZOOM- zoom in is to roll the mouse wheel forward (towards your computer)

Zoom out is to roll the mouse wheel outward.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAM AND CAD

CAD- this is a computer technology used to design and technical documentation that replaces manual
drafting with an automated process.

CAM- this is a software and a computer controlled machinery to automate manufacturing

APPLICATION OF CAD

1. ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING- this technology help architect to design and plan for their
projects such as residential ,bridges and markets building. The program entails complex
command that might be difficult to draw manually in consideration to accuracy.
2. MACHINE DESIGNING- With CAD engines ,camshaft and other machine parts can be easily
design. they also be drawn with a lot of accuracy as compared to manual drafting, therefore
mechanical engineers applied this program during planning.
3. USED IN 3D PRINTING; it provides users with interface which come with build in design , a layout
which includes numerous templates which specifically design for architecture planning,
construction planning.
4. CAD – it is applied in company to design virtually anything for advertisement or seeking for fund
e.g prototypes
5. CAD is used to produce blue prints of building or a planned project as it required to be.
