Uniform Resource Locator, or URL, is a reference/an address to a resource on the


Internet. There are two main parts to a URL.These include:

● Identity of the protocol - The protocol identification for the URL


http://example.com is http.

● Resource name - The resource name for the URL http://example.com is


example.com.

2. Website

A website is a group of related web pages and any supporting resources that have the
same hostname. The user can navigate between the web pages of a specific website by
clicking on explicit links that are present on each page, which are often clickable text
blocks.

● google.com
● Facebook.com

3. Homepage

The home page or start page is the first web page a user sees after using a web
browser or website like Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape's Navigator.The
browser or website is usually preset so that the home page is the first page that you
see.
