Teclumos Light Glass HFL

• Application:
Teclumos HFL light glasses combine light and sight for better
process observation in just one single unit.
This model is suitable for circular sight glass fittings to DIN 28120
and similar.
HFL light glasses can be used in high-temperature processes, due
to the use of gaskets and the small contacting area between light
and sight glass.

• Merits:
- Brilliant illumination of all kind of vessels and apparatuses
- One unit is enough for the entire observation of the system due to
a combination of sight and light.
- Lower observation cost compared to classic monitoring methods
- Easy cleaning with water without damaging electrical systems
- Having low weight
- Enhancing the appearance of the system

• Operating conditions:
HFL light glasses are mounted independently of pressure Teclumos Light Glass HFL DN 125
or vacuum of the apparatus to be fitted on.
There are no restrictions for the mounting position. Max.
permissible ambient temperature measured at cable entry
gland, 80°C. When ambient temperature > 40°C heat
resistant cable must be used. For LED version the max.
permissible ambient temperature is 40°C.

• Enclosure protection degree:

When correctly fitted, Dust and water jet proof to IP 65

• Combinations:
For better fitting, Teclumos HFL light glasses combine with
circular sight glass fittings to DIN 28120 or similar.

Voltage: 220/12 V
Wattage: 2/3 W or 20/35/50 W, depending on the type 2
Bulbs: LED/Halogen, for sockets G4 or GU5.3
Switch: Integral “ON-OFF” push button with separate
sealing cap
Cable gland: PG7/PG9
Lamp holder: Two-pin Socket

• Mounting:
- The light glass is attached to the mating flange of the circular
sight glass unit by two or four bolts. A gasket provides the seal
between luminaire and sight glass disc.
Sight- and light glasses are combined.
Caution: (1)Teclumos light glass HFL , with fixing screws
- Only after mechanical installation can electrical connection be (2) Sight glass fitting DIN 28120 welded into vessel wall

- Do not look into light (danger of impaired eyesight).

 • Electrical installation: • Lamp exchange:
- Select correct cable to suit operating conditions.
- Cable diameter must suit cable entry gland.
- Loosen light glass screws and remove it from the mating flange
- Pass cable through gland cable and wire to terminals.
- Tighten gland.
- Fit the light glass on the flange and tighten screws.
• Components and Materials:
- Light glass body and cap: Made of high-quality stainless
steel (Also available in aluminium)
- Gaskets: High-quality silicone rubber/PTFE or other
- Gland cable: IP 68 PG 7/PG 9 gland cable
- Switch: Integral “ON-OFF” push button with separate
water-resistant sealing cap
Note: Check temperature before losing screws and lifting off light
glass.
- Switch of the light glass.
- Remove light glass from mating flange
- Pull out lamp from reflector
- Fit new lamp by holding it with protective cloth and
carefully locating into 2-pin socket and push home
- Check condition of bridge gasket and replace if necessary
- Set light glass on mating flange and bolt tight
- Switch on power
• Accessories:
Transformers and circular sight glasses can be supplied
as necessary accessories.
