DATASHEET SOY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE

Version: 8

Product specifications
Feddstuff Soybeans (GMO), dehulled, extracted, toasted.

Trading name Soy Protein Concentrate

Origin Rio Pardo Proteína Vegetal - Brazil

Product description Product obtained from dehulled soya beans submitted to further extraction of carbohydrates and subjected to appropriate heat treatment.

Soybeans are first cracked, dehulled, cooked and flaked. Oil and carbohydrates are extracted from flaked soybeans in a continuous process using hexane and ethanol.
Product process Residual solvents (hexane and ethanol) are recuperated in the desolventizer/toaster. Total digestibility of the product is improved by removal of anti-nutritional factors including
soluble carbohydrates and by submitting the product to proper heat treatment. Subsequently the product is cooled, dried ant partially grinded to eliminate lumps.

Process materials during manufacturing
