POEA
Philippine Overseas Employment
Administration(POEA) is an
attached agency of DOLE tasked
to oversea the recruitment and
deployment of Filipino workers for
overseas employment, as well as
monitor and protect their welfare.
POEA
This is created through PD No. 797 in 1982 to promote and
monitor Filipino workers' overseas employment program.

Conclusion
Despite the differences and overlapping
functions, both POEA and OWWA, a sister
agencies under the DOLE were were established
to protect the welfare of overseas Filipino workers
Conclusion
As their mission and goals are very similar, they work hand in
hand but their main difference lies in their functions. POEA is
the agency that the worker will go to before he leaves to
work abroad. Most of the things that an OFW would do to
ensure legal status would be done at POEA.l Whilee OWWa,
is the agency to go to once the worker is already deployed
overseas.
