1. Can Earthquake be predicted?

No. A significant earthquake has never been foretold by the PHIVOLCS or any other scientific
organization. We do not understand how, and we do not anticipate understanding it any time soon.

2. How long does Earthquake last?

Usually just a few seconds. During a moderate to major earthquake, there will normally be strong ground shaking
for 10 to 30 seconds.

3. Why are aftershocks recorded?

Aftershocks can be used as "echo sounders" to investigate the earth's regional structure. Geologists and seismologists
can determine the fault plane's orientation, which greatly aids in characterizing the earthquake and the stresses and
strains that led to it.

4. What is the difference between magnitude and intensity?

Magnitude is a measure of earthquake size and remains unchanged with distance from the earthquake. Intensity, however,
describes the degree of shaking caused by an earthquake at a given place and decreases with distance from the earthquake
epicentre.
5. What are 5 interesting facts about earthquake?
For me the 5 interesting fact about earthquake is the earthquake can not predict, Half a million occur per year, The
"Ring of Fire" is a hot zone,Largest recorded earthquake was a magnitude 9.5 and Can change the length of a day
